In Good Hands

Part 4

Lisa's POV

After a week of that talk with Dr. Kim I haven't seen her that much. Well I am sure that she's avoiding me too. I can't blame her though but I want to talk to her. If I need to be the one to ask her out again I don't mind. I ask my best friend to talk to her though because I know he's a flirt and he can woo the nurses.

We're in the of the surgery right now. Not a serious surgery though. It's just an arm fracture of man who got thrown himself while riding a bike. Luckily my best friend, Jackson, is scrubbing in with me. But he keeps on annoying me. He teases me how I got rejected by that peds surgeon. And if he won't stop I won't think twice to put him on this OR table and operate him.

"Will you stop annoying me?" I said irritatingly after he laughs at me again.

"What?" He continues to laugh and I look at her deadly. "Fine! Fine, I'll stop." This time he looks at me seriously. 

"Okay. I'll close him up." I said and stitch the cut I opened with the help of the other intern with us. A lower year.

After we finished the surgery, we went out and change into our normal scrub suits and walk towards to quarters to get our things. Since it almost dinner and it's nearly our out. 

"So did you scope her out yet?" I asked Jackson while we're getting our things and change again with our casual clothes.

"Who?" He asked back without looking at me.

"Jennie." I replied and sat on the small bed waiting for him to finish.

"Oh. Right." He said and look at me this time. "No. I haven't had a chance to swing by peds and ask the nurse point out the attending who kissed my best friend in the bathroom." He added slightly teasing me.

"Oh. It's fine. At least you're a good friend who will join me tonight to drink." I replied and stand up ready to go out.

"Well I am not good tonight. I have a date with Tzuyu." He just shrugged his shoulder and walk past me after he taps my shoulder.

"What?" I asked loudly after I followed him. "Okay fine. I won't stop you but at least make it work with her because she's not stopping to bug about you." I added. 

"Thanks." He just said and walk towards anywhere I don't know maybe to pick up her up.

Well, going in the bar won't make me lonely. Maybe I will see some of our colleagues there and will join them instead. While I am walking inside the hospital, my other best friend saw me, Rose. She walks beside me because I know she will go out too.

"Hey, Lis." She greeted me. 

"Are you going home?" I asked her.

"It depends. Are you going somewhere?" She asked and look at me then look in front since we're walking.

"Headin' to the bar to get a few drinks." I replied.

"Okay. I'll go with you." She said and I replied with okay.

We continue to walk since the bar is really near the hospital. We both decided to walk back to the hospital to get our car. And since we are in the same building of apartment maybe I'll just leave my car in the hospital.

"So, what makes you drink tonight?" She asked after we sat on the bar stool and got our drinks.

"Well that peds surgeon rejected me when I ask her to date me." I replied.

"What?" She laughed. "Okay maybe you really need my help this time." She added.

"Yeah. Maybe." I said then drink at my glass.
