poem #8: the grief i grieved

i counted those times,
you left me unread,
days, weeks, months,
i wonder where you are.

you cut me off silently,
so silent that i didn't even know,
you did it with no words,
yet it hurts the most.

i wanted to see you,
talk to you, ask you,
but it looks like,
everything was too late.

the sparkles in your eyes,
as you look at her,
your lovely sweet smile,
and your arms around her.

crying in silence,
betrayal screaming loud,
i wish it was me,
that should be me.

confusion filled up my head,
i wonder where i went wrong,
what did i do?
why did you do this to me?

you should've told me anything,
it drove me insane,
you should've told me something,
i don't deserve it.

if you're just going to leave me hanging,
you should've used a rope instead,
and wear it on my neck,
like some gorgeous necklace.
