Chapter -1 Oh friend! Where Are You?

Only one can decide whether their life will be full of love or hatred.

Despite popular belief that life is unpredictable, it really isn't. It's all about what you do, be kind and see the bright side of life. Someone with beauty or brains or both will always be more privileged. Someone who is rude will never be able to make in life, he might be rich in terms of money or fame, but will never be respected by his colleagues. This is the truth, right?

Wrong.

All that matters is money. Money is the reason for the world's fast pace. Money is the reason people find love in this time. Money is the reason we survive. Being materialistic in this century is important, people built on love would easily crumble apart the moment they step into the real world. But, this makes actually accomplished in life people to be love deprived, if with children, they make their child grow deprived of love, because that's how these spoilt-by-money brats can actually stand against the world.

This is the world Ivy grew in, spoilt brat who didn't know how to love. It's not like she actually needed it, her fate was set the day she was born. Heir of the Code X, the fastest growing fashion brand of the decade.

A brand created by two best friends who eventually fall in 'Love'.

They met in high school and since were inseparable. Paparazzi call their love story to be "More romantic than Romeo and Juliet."

Pfft.

Only if they knew.

If they knew that the matrimonial alliance was purely "business". Just because they didn't want their money to be shared with another family than theirs, they chose to keep love at bay and just marry each other. Of course, it is their choice to make after all, but they might have forgot a minute detail.

"What if they actually fall in love?"

Not with each other, this is not a drama.

But with someone else. And because of this ignorance, they couldn't find a solution to the upcoming storm in life.

Love.

Osvaldo started fancying Celestie Davis, she fancied him back too. A top employee of Code X and the head of the marketing team, who reports right under him. He was only 28 after all, and he couldn't comprehend that why did his 26 year old self agreed to this deal. It was stupid, it definitely was.

There were two choices.

Either he could fall into the magical spell of love and give up the deal for good. Or let his greed for money win over his foreign feelings developed over a year for Celestie.

His selfish-foolish persona chose the second option.

He shut of all of his connections with Celestie, and with a heavy heart said her that she should forget about all the things that happened between and left her numb. Both of them died the day. Now, the only  difference is that she found someone who could ignite the bonfire of love within her.

But him, he is still broken inside.

And knowing about Celestie and her wedding, he regretted his decision.

And that's when the fights started. They kept going on and on but still both filled with greed wanted to keep the contract alive. So, they decided to have a child. If they had one they would be too busy making him/her the perfect air rather than too fight, and that is how Ivy took her first breath in the world.

Now, the family acts as if everything is fine. When it is really not. Their decision had ruined her life even when she wasn't revealed to the public. As every other rich kid, she was spoilt with the best in the world and bought up to be a perfect girl. But that was in the mansion where that perfect girl shined with her fake bright smile. Outside, where no one knew her she was a loner who had no friends, she wanted to have them, of course, but her social anxiety would stop her from even talking to them. She never felt a need to start a conversation before, she didn't how to make friends because she did not know even one person, not even from her class or someone with the same financial background like her. That's how she was kept, away from spotlight, away from people,

Away from life.

The only people she knew would always overpower her, it has always been like that, behind the shadow of her parent's spotlight which shined brighter than gold.

She was the quiet kid at her school. Little did she knew there something waiting for her this year, a little someone.

Her little plea for a friend would be granted by fate.
