Chapter 8

The morning air was warm the perfect temperature, the villagers beamed at one another hearts full of joy, ninja were scouting the village in search of their friends and some doing missions.

I paced anxiously in my room heart pounding why am I panicking so much anyway? I mean we do this all the time so why?Why am I feeling like this? Were just two friends hanging out right? Anyway clothes were currently  thrown all over my room looking like a tornado had torn through it, it was a mess to say the least. I honestly don't know why I was acting like this I mean we hang out all the time so why there was no logical explanation at all..Wait could I NO NO IN WAY HELL!!!BAD AKARI BAD DONT THINK LIKE THAT EVER!!!!!!

Sighing I came up with plan B: mum, that's the only way I could get out of this mess so drastic times call for drastic measures. Carefully stepping around objects to get to my door I called for her, it only took about a minute for her to respond and come up to my room "Kami what happened here it looks like a war zone?" Rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly I smiled at  her"Yeah I kinda need your help" "With what?" she asks curiosity burning in her eyes "Well you see I'm kinda hanging out with one of my friends-well sort of friends and were going out to lunch together than hanging out  and I can't find anything to wear so...Help..Please" I give her puppy dog eyes knowing she couldn't resist them "Does this 'friend' of yours happen to be a boy?" I nod to her shyly yeah I know shy why the hell am I shy? "ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"She starts to squeal like a banshee jumping up and down "OMG OMG OMG MY BABY HAS GOT A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screams for the whole world to hear "No I don't it's not a date!"I yell at her slightly frustrated "Oh my baby's growing up"wiping a fake tear from her eye, I just roll my eyes at her behaviour like sheesh with the way she acts sometimes you could mistake her for being the teenager.

"Mum" I said exasperated while beginning to walk towards the door "Okay okay I'll stop it" laughing while shaking her head slightly she began to search my room for an outfit "Ah I got it" quickly grabbing some clothes she shoved them into my hands then proceeded to shove me into the bathroom "Get changed" She said before I could protest.                                                                                             After I got changed I was shocked when I saw myself in the mirror "woah is that really me?" *Outfit at the top* I love the jacket "Are you done yet?" Mum asked me through the door of the bathroom impatiently, instead of answering her I just walked out of the bathroom so she could see me "oh my baby you look so cute" mum said clapping her hands together "mum" I whined at her blushing "Okay darling you make sure you have fun but not to much fun "MUM!" I shouted at her laughing as she pushed me out of the house, anyway she just laughed and walked off.

As I walked down the streets to our meeting place my stomach started flipping nervously my palms sweating slightly in my bag I had a few kunai's you can never be too careful and I was wearing my headband as a hair band *Like Sakura* which brought my bangs to attention. I rounded the corner to the BBQ restaurant which was new and looked around no sign of Kakashi *sigh* of course he's late as usual, I looked around and watched all the villagers and children bringing a gentle smile to my face they all looked so happy without a care in the world not knowing the true horrors of this world.

"Boo" A voice said behind me making me jump and grab a kunai holding a kunai to the persons throat, I started blushing when I realised it was just Kakashi who was staring at me with wide eyes or should I say eye "Whoa easy there tiger it's just me" he said chuckling slightly causing me to blush even more "Sorry you caught me by surprise why did you do that?" curiosity burning inside me why would he do such a reckless thing he should know that I could've killed him "Because you rarely ever let your guard down and I wanted to surprise you" he said looking at me innocently. "

so what do you want to do now?" I asked him after we ate some lunch "Well how about we go for a walk and get to know each other more" he proposed hmm not a bad idea "Ok then" We walked around the village together chatting the entire way "what's your family like?" He asked me "Well you already know Itachi he's calm and serious like all the time but he cares about us a lot and then there's my baby brother Sasuke now he's just a little cutie who loves to play and always asks me and Itachi to help him train however he asks me more since Itachi is more busy, my mum she's the best she's loving and kind to everyone and then there's well my dad *sigh*" "what's wrong with your dad?"Kakashi asks looking at me solely making me blush slightly "Nothings wrong with my dad it's just he's real strict all the time and sometimes I just think he cares about Itachi and no one else" looking at the ground I could feel my hurt ache knowing that I will never compare to Itachi "He criticises me a lot since Itachi awakened his sharingan before me and is the prodigy of the clan also I can see that he's beginning to do the same to Sasuke who just wants his Oto-sans attention to be on him and not his abilities. Me and father clash quite a lot because of this" sighing I looked at Kakashi 

"What about your family?" I asked "well I never really knew my mother because she died when I was young and my father was the best father I could have asked for but on a mission he saved one of his comrades causing his team to fail and because of this the ninja and villagers in the village began to scorn him, eventually it became to much for him because one night I was returning home from the academy to find my father had committed suicide" A heavy silence was all that could be heard between us, I put my hand on his squeezing it reassuringly "I'm sorry I asked Kakashi I can see this is a hard topic for you" smiling at him gently I looked into his eye whoa I never noticed how amazing his eye was before I could just lose myself in it forever "It's all right you didn't know" He said looking into my eyes as I looked into his, without realizing I started to slowly lean up towards him as he did the same, I could feel his minty breath on my face if I leaned in a little more we would be kissing are eyes still connected.Leaning up I began to  slowly pull his mask down my eyes never leaving his butterflies flipping my stomach.

BANG!CRASH! As soon as we heard that we leaped away from each other like nothing had happened looking in the direction of the crash, then a green blur came crashing through the streets towards us at high speed,skidding to a stop was a man in a tight green jumpsuit with a bowl shaped haircut with huge bushy eyebrows looking at Kakashi intently "Kakashi my eternal rival lets us have a battle to test the strength of our YOUTH!!!" He screamed out whoa he sure is loud "Guy I cant as you can see I'm busy with somebody" Nodding towards me which caused Guy I think his name was to look at me, all of the sudden his eyes became hearts as he suddenly appeared in front of me kneeling before me holding me hand causing me to jump slightly "My lovely maiden you are as beautiful as the lotus flower please be my girlfriend" he said looking at me with heart eyes "Uhh I'm sorry who are you?" I asked him cautiously trying to pull my hand away looking at Kakashi for help which he just shrugged at "My beautiful lotus flower I am MIGHT GUY THE HIDDEN LEAF'S HANDSOME GREEN BEAST" He screamed out I'm pretty sure the whole village could hear "Well uhh hello Guy I'm Akari Uchiha pleasure to meet you but sorry I'm not really looking to be in a relationship right now" I told him awkwardly. Thankfully Kakashi came to the rescue "Hey Guy how about we have are challenge tomorrow I was just about to walk Akari home"He said looking at me telling me to play along "Alright then my eternal rival I will see you then goodbye my lotus flower may we meet again" He said before running of at high speed 

"Well that was interesting" I said as we began walking towards the Uchiha compound "Yeah well that's Guy for you" He said walking next to me "Today was fun" I said looking at him smiling "Yeah it was" "You know your actually kind of interesting Kakashi" "Oh really" "Yeah" "Well so are you" "See you later Kakashi" I waved goodbye to him as I began to walk into the Uchiha compound "Yeah see you Akari"
