Henry Morris Adopts a Child but it goes wrong

Part one I think

Henry was driving home after work late at night. The general area he lived in was very... Sketchy, to keep it brief, so he wanted to spend as little time NOT inside. He had pulled into the parking lot of his apartment building, when he noticed a boy sitting on the sidewalk. Henry would have ignored them if they looked Familiar, but they didn't. They also had a backpack on, and looked very tired.

"Hey, are you alright?" Henry asked, earning a delayed response. "... I- No. I got kicked out." the boy said, shivering. Henry was concerned. How long had he been out here? "...How long have you been out?" Henry asked, with the boy responding with a simple shake. Henry decided to say this; "Why don't you stay with me tonight? It's better than being unconscious in the dodgiest area in the state..."

The boy explained what had happened earlier. His older brother had kicked them out. He also said his name was Mark. Henry opened his fridge to check if he even had enough food to give him at least 2 weeks worth of meals... as he wasn't going to let a 13 year old be alone in this area of town. He in fact had no food, so he decided to take Mark to the store. When they arrived, Henry asked Mark about what food he liked. Henry bought 3 loaves of bread, lunch meat, and some cheese, alongside ramen and some boxed Mac and cheese.

"Thank you henry..." Mark said, Hugging him. Mark was rather tall for a 13 year old. Henry made some of the mac and cheese for the both of them, then they both ate dinner. They eventually went to bed after a while. Henry dreaded waking up, as he knew that even more rumors would start because of Mark.

"Mark, Don't talk to anyone unless I tell you." Henry said in the car, as they drove. Mark nodded as he played a game on his DS. Work was way easier ever since the Wii came out about a week earlier. He had actually planned on buying one once he got paid again. They had eventually arrived at the Nintendo Office, and had got in.

He had mentally scowled when he saw His co-worker, Austin, sitting on the desk next to him. "What are you doing here?" Henry said, letting Mark sit in the chair. "Oh, Todd moved me to this Department. Oh, and who's that?" Austin started. "That's my... son, Mark." Henry sort-of lied, just trying to end this conversation. Mark was just playing a game on his DS.

"Okay. anyways..." Austin started. Henry just ignored him, and started working, and Austin noticed, and had shut up. The day went by slowly, until eventually their shift Ended, and Henry drove Mark to the store. "Go ahead and pick out a game." He said to Mark, before getting an employee to help him get a Wii from the glass. Mark picked up a copy of 'Legend Of The Luna Wolf: DS', Which was a simple port of the 1st game. They went to pay, and then went home. Henry set up the Wii, And played with Mark.

The next couple days went by relatively smoothly, Other than people talking about Henry from behind his back. Austin and Mark would occasionally talk to each other, and have gained some level of friendship. Eventually it was the weekend, and Henry stayed home with Mark. "Hey Mark, where do you go to school? You kinda have to go back eventually." Henry asked while making breakfast on Saturday morning. "Redmond Middle..." Mark said, to which Henry frowned. He had gone to that school, and was relentlessly bullied to the point that he would just skip school. "... Do you get bullied?" "Yeah. But I pretend that they aren't to make myself feel better..." Mark replied. "I'll drop you off, and then I'll see about enrolling you in a different school." Henry said, presenting his scrambled eggs and bacon to the kid.

The weekend went by rather quickly, then Henry Dropped off Mark at school. Austin approached Henry at work. "Hey, You look more gloomy than usual." he said. "I just learned my son is getting bullied, and I can't do anything about it..." Henry said. He could barely breathe. "What school?" Austin asked. "Redmond Middle." Henry replied.
