Katsuki knew that tonight's mission would be no easy feat, but with some help by his side, he felt pretty confident.
He might be able to do this. No. He was able to do this, no doubt. Even though he had an unlikely teammate, he would win.
He always did.
As he rounded the corner, he spotted Toga leaning against a graffiti-covered wall, her eyes glinting with mischief as she greeted him with a sly grin.
"Hi there" She grinned, her voice laced with amusement. "Ready to cause some chaos?"
Katsuki smirked in response, his gaze meeting hers. "Obviously. You know the plan? "
With a nod, Toga fell into step beside him, her movements fluid and graceful as they moved as one through the shadows. Together, they would be a force to be reckoned with, united in their shared goal of dismantling the Shie Hassaikai from within.
Definitely an unlikely duo, that's for sure.
As they approached the building, Katsuki felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins, his senses sharpening with each step they took. Tonight, they would strike against their enemies, and nothing would stand in their way.
Stealthily making their way through the labyrinth of corridors of the Shie Hassaikai's headquarters, tension hung thick in the air like a suffocating smog. Every step they took was a gamble, every shadow a potential threat waiting to strike.
Katsuki's senses were on high alert, his heart pounding in his chest as he navigated the maze of hallways with the skill of a seasoned predator. Beside him, Toga moved with a fluid grace, her eyes gleaming with a feral intensity that sent a shiver down his spine.
Their mission was simple: infiltrate the Shie Hassaikai and retrieve intel that could prove invaluable to both the League of Villains' cause and his own. But as they neared their target, the stakes grew higher with each passing moment, the risk of discovery looming ever closer.
They could not be found. Tonight wasn't for directly attacking, it was a simple reconnaissance. With a silent nod to direct Toga towards the leftmost hallway, they pressed on.
As they reached their destination, Katsuki's pulse quickened with anticipation, his senses tingling with the thrill of the hunt. With a swift motion, he disabled the security measures guarding the entrance, allowing them to slip inside undetected.
Pitiful.
The room before them was a treasure trove of information, with computer terminals lining the walls and filing cabinets stacked high with confidential documents. With a sense of urgency, Katsuki and Toga set to work, their fingers flying across the keyboards as they got into the system and began to download the data they sought.
He didn't know how Toga knee how to access locked files, but it wasn't his place to ask. Even if it seemed like a skill she wouldn't have. It wasn't his business as to why she could get in.
Their victory was short-lived, as the sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the corridor outside. With a quiet curse, Katsuki knew their time was up.
"Hide, we can't let them know that we're here"
Toga pouted at the lack of contact, but complied, using her small stature to her advantage as she climbed up into the ceiling. She slid the tile back into its proper place and just like that, was gone.
Unfortunately for him, hiding was going to prove to be a fair bit harder.
As the footsteps grew closer, Katsuki's heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing with the possibility of being discovered. With quick thinking, he pressed himself against the wall, blending into the shadows of nearby shelving units. Thank god the place was a mess of misplaced items and inconveniences.
The door to the room swung open with a creak, revealing a group of Shie Hassaikai thugs entering the room with weapons drawn. Katsuki held his breath, his muscles tense as he watched them scour the area, their eyes narrowed with suspicion as they searched for any sign of intruders.
Second by agonizing second, they drew closer to Katsuki's hiding spot, their footsteps echoing loudly in the confined space. With each passing moment, the tension in the room grew thicker, threatening to suffocate him with its suffocating grip.
Just as it seemed like he was in the clear, one of the thugs turned towards Katsuki's hiding spot, his eyes narrowing in suspicion as he approached. Katsuki's heart raced as he braced himself for the inevitable confrontation, knowing that any wrong move could spell disaster.
But before the thug could discover him, a loud crash echoed from the other side of the room, drawing the thugs' attention away from Katsuki's hiding spot. One of them had tripped, knocking over a rack of papers.
With a silent sigh of relief, Katsuki watched as they hurriedly stuffed the papers back into place and made their way out, their footsteps fading into the distance as they left the room. He distantly heard them panicking about being caught making a mess.
As if it wasn't messy enough in here.
With the coast clear, Katsuki emerged from his hiding spot, his heart still pounding with adrenaline as he scanned the room for any signs of danger. Finding none, he turned to Toga, who had dropped down from the ceiling.
"That was close" Katsuki muttered, his voice low as he glanced around the room. "Let's finish up and get the fuck out before anyone else shows up"
Toga nodded in agreement, her expression uncharacteristically tense with the realization of just how narrowly they had escaped being discovered. With efficiency as the number one priority, they completed their mission, determined to escape before their luck ran out again.
