13. Numb the Pain

"There is no such thing as the right side of the wrongs we're all just broken people trying to numb the pain."

"That was poetic." Tully remarked. "What happened?"

"She got a boo, boo." Larys answered. 

"Are you and Willa okay?" 

"Yeah... why?"

"Because you are having deep emotional talks with my daughter that isnt a year yet." Tully offered. "But she is a good listener." She added. 

"I love Willa and its scaring me." Larys admitted. 

"Why?" Tully countered. "Stephen loves you, she loves you too." 

"She hasnt told me anything about her life before she came to the capital, her life before me." Larys countered. "I want to know more about her so I can protect her and Stephen."

"Have you told her much about Harwin and father?" Tully countered, Larys shook his head. "Open up to her and she will open up to you." 

"I wasnt close with my brother. I loathed him when we were younger." Larys admitted. Willa leaned back on the couch her elbow propped up her fisted hand against her temple. "I knew I wasnt anyone's knight in shining armor. Harwin got to be that for everyone, my father included. So forgive me if I'm not doing this right because I'm falling for you and I want to be the very best man for you but I'm scared because I have never been anyones first choice."

"Sometimes a knight in shining armor is just a boy in tin foil." Willa countered.  Her tongue found its way into his mouth, and all thoughts of stopping flew out the window. She explored and stroked, and he sucked her deeper, wanting her to mark him, to lay claim in the way he was desperate to with her. 

Willa had a son but in some bizarre way, kissing larys felt like her first kiss. Her nails bit into the back of his neck, and he nearly lost what  little self control he had. He wanted those nails raking down his back, leaving tiny red trails on his bare skin. He wanted Willa Swann. Only Willa. 

He wanted her under him, her thighs around his hips, her back arching as he made her come. Larys cock throbbed at the thought of how hot she'd be when he slid inside her, how he they would teach each other how to move, what she liked and how he could make her moan. 

How she'd teach him how to love. Taking control of the kiss, he leaned into her, letting her feel exactly how badly he wanted her. She rolled her hips back against his, and a low rumble sounded from his chest. 

The tether of larys control frayed, and he took her mouth like he wanted to take her body, with long, sure strokes. Their tongues twisted and tangled, until the kiss turned from a slow, sensual exploration into a wildfire of pure, scorching need. 

Larys mind raced as he cradled her head, tilting her for a deeper angle, knowing if he moved his hands in the slightest, they were going up her dress to discover if she was just as dripping wet for him as he was about to be for her.

Willa nipped at his lip, sucking it into her mouth, and he couldn't hold back his groan. She was softer than silk, and everything larys wanted and up until this very precious and exhilarating moment thought he couldn't have. Ever. He slowed the kiss, drawing out every ounce of pleasure from the simple connection of their mouths. Then with one last, lingering caress of his  lips, he lifted his head.

"My darling Willa." Her name was a reverent whisper as he leaned his forehead against hers. 

"Larys." She sighed in answer. 

"Mama."

"Hey Stephen," She added pulling back. "Everything alright honey?" 

"I had a bad dream, could Larys read me a story?" Stephen questioned. 

"I would be honored." Larys agreed getting up. 

"You like my mum." Stephen said as he jumped back into bed. 

"I like your mum a lot." Larys agreed. 

"You will protect her right. My father didnt protect her, she had to fight for everything for us." Stephen informed him. 

"She need not fight again, I have everything under control. I'm here for you both." Larys assured.
