AN: this chapter is a little bit longer than the others☆☆
Normally during lunch Ruby would skip and sneak out the back and go to the park. But today she had to escort the new girl around. Earlier that day after she apologized, Ms. Bennot came up with the amazing idea to show the new girl around. She said it was to make up for all the things Ruby had done in the past. This is bull shit! Ruby told herself as she and the new girl were walking to lunch.
"Sooo, have you been here your whole life?" Rosette said not really sure on how to start a conversation with this girl. To be honest she kinda scared Rosette, she was just so short tempered. But from what she could see Ruby didn't have many friends and Rosette was determined to change that. One friend can't hurt right?
"Yep! Born and raised" Ruby said in a monotone voice, not even turning Rosette's way. "Why did you move here anyway? Like there is nothing cool here, everyone sucks." Ruby said, finally turning Rosette's way. "Umm, I don't really know." Rosette said, trying to find an excuse. "To be honest I think it was because the kids at my old school were rude." Why did you say that are you dumb? Rosette was scolding herself. "Wait, kids were rude to you? How so?" Ruby said, grabbing her lunch, along with Rosette. "Well, they would make fun of the way I look, and i didnt have many friends so I was a loner." Rosette said following Ruby outside. "Kids made fun of the way you look? Man fuck them kids!" Ruby said. Ruby was actually starting to like this girl for some reason. She couldnt find out why?

After school Ruby offered Rosette to come to her house so she could help with her homework. For a "new girl" Rosette was smart, and was willing to help out her new friend. Ruby never had any friends, but for the first time she was starting to reconsider her choices. As they walk in the door they run into Camila Ruby's mom. "Hey Rue, Umm who is this?" she asks, turning around. "Oh hey Mom, this is my friend Rosette." Ruby said with a slight smile towards her mom. What the fuck- Is all Camila could think, Is Ruby smiling and if anything at her. "Oh well it's very nice to meet you Rosette. '' Camila says with a smile. For the first time Ruby brought home a friend. "It's really nice to meet you Ms. Johnson." Rosette said, exchanging the smile.
"Hey Ruby, do you mind if I use your bathroom real quick?" She said making eye contact with Camila. "Umm yeah, It's in the hall towards the left. While you're doing that, imma head to my room. You can just find me when you're done" Ruby said walking towards her room. When Rosette heard her door close she walked over to Camila who was now sitting on the couch. "Have you told her yet?" Rosette said sitting on the couch next to her. "I'm sorry, What? Camila said, confused. "About who her dad is? Where I have to take her soon..." Rosette said, cocking her head to the left "You know she's a demigod, Right?" Rosette said, sighing. "Oh! Right, you're her satyr!" Camila said in relief. "Shhhhh, don't be so loud" She whispered , holding her finger to her mouth. "Because I can tell by the way you're acting she doesn't have a clue what she is." Rosette said, rolling her eyes. "But that's besides the point, has anything tried to get her yet?" Rosette said, trying to gain information so she can figure out what exactly is going on here. "Not that i know of" Camila said looking towards Ruby's room "You know she is a weird one right?" "Aren't we all?" Rosette said, shrugging her shoulders standing up, going to find Ruby's room.

The past couple months for Ruby have been actually going really well. For the first time in her life she felt like she had a real friend. Rosette was Ruby's first real friend. Ruby told Rosette everything, and when Ruby needed someone to talk to Rosette was there for her. For the first time in her life she had someone care for her in a way that Ruby needed. Ruby sometimes felt like she didn't deserve a friend like Rosette. Rosette was nice, and she wasn't. Well that was until her actions started to rub off on Ruby. For the first time Ruby started to feel happy, genuinely happy. She smiled more, laughed more, and she wasn't as stubborn. Having a friend is what Ruby needed. And it's what she got, a best friend. They've only known each other for 5 months but it's almost like they're sisters.
