"Lena, are you okay? You seem distracted" he said. I was back at our apartment and we were stood on the balcony
"yeah... it's nothing" I said
"Did something happen while you were gone? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. it's nothing. don't worry about it"
"Lena, I can see that something's bothering you" he said as he pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. My eyes instantly filled with tears.
"We have to break up, Lan..." I said. I could see the heartbreak in his eyes.
"Why, Lena? Are you serious? What happened?" He asked
"it's me who is the issue. I'm constantly causing you problems" I said. Except this time it was my fucking so-called father causing the problems.
"Lena, you're not causing me problems. We've had our ups and downs, sure, but that's part of life and love. No one is perfect, least of all me. And I've never regretted being with you" he said
"I can see it in you. You're constantly annoyed with me because of all the problems I'm causing"
"Lena, sweetheart, you're not causing problems. We're dealing with them together, aren't we?"
"I'm not letting you deal with my problems anymore. you deserve better"
"Baby, look at me. You aren't causing problems. We're facing them head-on, together. And no matter what happens, I'm not going anywhere"

"Deal with you? Lena, I love you. I wouldn't change a thing about you. Even the parts that drive me crazy, they make you who you are"

"She can. Lan, I love you but I have to go. to keep you safe" I said. I could see Lando holding back his tears. He pulled me to him and held me in his arms. I had to hold back my tears too.
"Alright..." he whispered while holding me. "I love you, Lena. Please take care of yourself" he said. I started bawling my eyes out at that point. I couldn't believe I was letting my so-called father manipulate me like this. But I couldn't risk anything happening to Lando.
"I will. I love you more than anything" I said
"And I love you more than any victory on the racetrack, Lena" he said through his tears
"I'll watch and support you every time you race. I promise"
"And I'll be here for you, cheering you on every step of the way. Always remember, no matter what happens, I'm your biggest fan"
"I'm yours too. take care of Daxie for me"
"I will, baby. And don't forget, we're not just a team on the racetrack; we're a team in life too. I'll be here when you're ready to come back to me" he said. I nodded and kissed him for the last time. It hurt so much. Both of our tears mixed together. Every memory was fading. Everything we had was gone. All because of my stupid so-called father ruining my life.
