I think the title ^^ is pretty self-explanatory, no?

Hello! So for the fellow Dalaric lovers who already know me, you would know me as the person who downloaded a copy of the book before it got taken down and then shared it with a bunch of people afterwards.

But if you are entirely new to the book and you generally have no idea what's going on then,

Long story short, Dalaric was an extremely popular wattpad book and had been for years, with millions of views and thousands of followers on the author's account. Safe to say, this book could've easily gone in the wattpad Hall of fame, in my humble yet correct opinion.

But one day, the author took down the book with absolute zero warning before sending out a message to her followers announcing that she would be taking the book off from wattpad permanently, with her reasoning being that she was no longer proud of it and no longer wanted to be associated with it anymore.

(Don't quote me on that, I only vaguely remember the message)

We were all in disbelief, I was there. You would not believe the chaos that the aftermath of her announcement ensued.

People who were in the middle of reading for the first time cursed out the bad timing. Long time fans/followers were begging and pleading for her not to do this. That she was wrong, that her book inspired and helped so many people and still could for many more.

But the author didn't budge, it was gone.

But the worst of it was after that became crystal clear amongst readers, she began getting threatening messages and insulting words thrown at her relentlessly.

(I can proudly say I was not apart of that crowd, some of you were so mean 🤨)

Eventually, she caved. But only for one week.

She put Dalaric back up for one more week.

(And fuck me, was I ever so glad I had a wattpad book downloader website available at my disposal. Hehehehe.)

Anyway, after the week was up and dalaric was gone for good, people were still attacking her every chance they got to bring Dalaric back.

I guess the love for her book outweighed the love for her.

So she deleted her account entirely.

No dalaric. No author. Not even her other shorter book, "Letters To Elijah" (that I didn't even download! 😭)

Now that you know the backstory to this story. Let's get back to moi.

Like I mentioned, I had used a wattpad book downloader website called wattpad.CC which has since been taken down by...wattpad 💀

Talk about lucky timing.

But honestly, the copy I had and shared around was pretty damning to ones eyes because the website was pretty literal in downloading only the words.

And it made the chapters squeeze all the words into one continuous paragraph, there was no pictures where pictures were supposed to be and frankly, I just wanted a better edited copy to enjoy it better.

So that's exactly what I did when I took it upon myself to edit it to the best of my abilities!

Initially, I was only planning on keeping it to myself out of respect for the author. But it looks like the author has put wattpad and this book completely behind her.

Meanwhile, there are people who are still searching high and low to find their favourite comfort book that had been taken down.

So I figured, why not keep it up for everyone to enjoy? 😉

Now it took me a few weeks to edit and to find all the right pictures and etc. but I finally did it. It's done!

Edited version will feature:

• Correcting spelling errors.

• Separating the paragraphs/dialogue.

• Erasing the spaces between these (? ! ,) characters.

• Adding translations for the French dialogue.

• Adding back the CUTENESS at the end of chapters. Like the penguins - milk and mocha bear pics/gifs.

• Adding back their aesthetics, "POV's" and the "Mayella's notes" pictures.

Obviously, not a single word has been erased, added or changed (unless it was a spelling mistake). But I'm not entirely positive I caught everything since I'm not a professional editor. If you notice anything I missed, let me know in the comments and I'll fix it :)
