The dinner had concluded, and the living room buzzed with the soft murmur of conversation as everyone settled into their seats.

'Ab humein chalna chahiye', Rudraksh announced, glancing at his watch, his tone firm yet casual.

'Ha', Everybody nodded their head.

'Neha tune Akshat bhaiya ko call kar dia tha na?', Kartik inquired.

'Ha Maine call kar dia tha woh aate hi honge', Neha replied, her voice steady.

'Thik hai toh hum chalte hain', Kartik decided, rising from his seat.

With that, Kartik and his siblings made their way homeward.

Prisha headed to the kitchen, her hands ready to tackle the pile of dishes, while Saransh retreated to his room, books in hand, eager to study.

In the living room, only Ahana, Neha, and Kiara remained, engaged in lively conversation.

Moments later, the doorbell chimed, breaking their chatter.

"I'll check who it is; it might be Akshat bhaiya," Kiara said, standing up with a sense of purpose.

She swung open the door, revealing Akshat standing there, a warm smile on his face.

'Hello, Akshat bhaiya', Kiara said with a smile politely.

'Hi Kiara', Akshat replied reciprocating the smile.

Then they came inside.

'Mein aapke liye paani lekar aati hoon', Kiara said but just then her phone rang,it was her mother and Akshat asked her to attend the call.

'Bhaiya, kitchen woh raha aap jaake paani lelo na, Prisha di bhi andar hi hain. Mujhe Aahu se kuch puchna hai', Neha said giving her textbook to Ahana asking something.

'Neha interjected, handing her textbook to Ahana.

"But-" Ahana began, but Akshat interjected smoothly.

"Don't worry, Ahana. Help her out. I'll fetch the water from the kitchen," he said, rising with a reassuring smile, and Ahana nodded in agreement.

With that, Akshat strode towards the kitchen, entering to find Prisha diligently washing the dishes.

Standing at the doorway he cleared his throat grabbing Prisha's attention as she looked up.

'Prisha's eyes widened in surprise as she asked, "A...aap?"

'Woh Neha ko lene aaya tha aur mujhe pyaas lagi thi so, I came to get some water', Akshat replied entering the kitchen.

'Rukiye mein paani deti hoon', Prisha replied, her hands busy at the sink, rinsing off soap.

'Iski koi zarurat nahi hai mein le -', started, but Prisha's firm tone cut through his words.

'Zarurat hai', she insisted, her voice calm yet resolute. She reached into the fridge, retrieving a bottle, and poured the cool water into a glass, a soft smile spreading across Akshat's face as he watched her.

'Yeh lijiye', Prisha said, extending the glass of water.

'Thankyou', Akshat said taking the glass from her.
