"You are too good for hell, you know that?" he smiled, wiping his tears off his face with the back of his hand while looking at her. Her calming aura made him feel a bit relieved.

"The same goes to you." A sudden breeze made her long, straight hair look like it was flowing in the air. Her hair was brunette, and the ends were fading to blonde with a small curl. She looked at him and smiled. Her teeth were human like, unlike most of the demons he had seen with all those sharp, thirst craving like teeth. Her red eyes looked like they were sparkling. Her yellowish sclera looked like golden as the light faded. Her white skin looked whiter than before.
"You shouldn't be here. You seem to have a kind soul." she said as she looked up to the same, bloody looking sky.

"You seem to have some strong opinions for someone so young."he said, leaving a small laugh. He felt safe talking to her. That wasn't like him. After he and his wife split, he hadn't felt like that with anyone else besides his daughter. "I don't think that I'm, though. Why would I be there if I was?" A bittersweet smile appeared on his face, making him seem like a completely different person than before. He looked the other way to hide this side of him from the stranger woman he was talking.

She couldn't help but look at him. He seemed completely different than the person they described when talking about him, about Lucifer. THE Lucifer Morningstar, king of hell. She felt so stupid for all those years that she believed everything they said to her. He looked far more human than the people who portrayed him as the devil everyone ever said he was. 'How could someone like him actually accept the extermination to begin with.' she thought to herself without taking her eyes off of him.

"That makes two of us then."she smiled, pitting herself. "I'm here too, remember?" she said in a quiet tone. She looked around, waiting for him to break this silence. The view was amazing. It seemed like she could see every realm of hell from up there. Her eyes darkened when she realized how monotonous everything in hell was. Everything seems bloody red in her eyes.

He looked her way. He couldn't help but wonder what got through her mind when her eyes darkened. "You know, you're getting used to this place pretty quickly! Half a millennia will pass in no time!" he said jokingly with a smile in an attempt to make her forget everything that bothered her, like she did for him when they started talking. She left a smile with his joke.

"I'm not so sure about that, you know." they laughed together with her comment. She looked down at the city. She looked melancholic again.

"You know, good company helps." he said with his big smile while he moved his head to look at her better. She looked at him, not knowing what to say. "It helped me too."

"I'm alone here. I have nobody." she said in a broken tone without letting her smile be gone. "I'm the only one who made it in hell."

"It doesn't need to be family. You can make some friends." he said. He had completely forgotten the reason this conversation started at first, the reason why he was even there, crying , why her, a complete stranger, was talking to him.

"Friends? Who in hell wants to make friends?" she laughed. She really hopped for her plan to work. She needed to be close with the king of hell if she wanted to change anything.

"Oh, believe me when I say that they are more than you think." he said in a friendly tone. "First of all, I would." he looked at her smiling. She froze. She wasn't expecting it to work so quickly. "Lucky you, the king of hell himself wants to be your friend." he said, confident ,giving her a big smile. "Lucifer Morningstar, on the flesh." she smiled, hearing him saying that.

"Like, the actual Lucifer?" she said while she tried to seem like she was in shock. She didn't want him to know that she already knew. "I had heard many things about you since I arrived a few months ago but didn't expect to actually meet you." she lied. She knew. She had been searching for him everywhere since she had arrived.

"Then you are one of the lucky few that met me in person." he smiled, trying to make her feel more comfortable around him like they were before. "I didn't lie when I said that you can count me as a friend." his smile fadet when he said that. He wanted to stay close to her. Something about her made him drown to her. He felt like he had known her for so long even though they had just met.

"Can I really be the king's friend?" she smiled and stayed quiet for a while. She looked at him. He was still looking at her.

"Only if you want to." he moved his shoulder upwards. He looked down to the town while waiting for her response. She looked at the red sky. They looked at each other and laughed.

"Then, every time you need some company, come here. As soon as I see you I'll come to your rescue, friend." she laughed.

"As long as you do it too, friend." they kept looking at each other, and they both laughed.

"Deal." she smiled, leaving a small laugh.

"I don't recall hearing your name, though." he said playfully.

She gave him a brought smile."I'm Vale-." she froze for a moment. She cleared her throat."I'm Valerie." she smiled.
