31 - Supportive Friends

Gally's Pov

Myself and Tara stayed awake to make sure my sister was going to sleep ok after whatever had happened last night between her, Thomas and Teresa which I can only imagine what had happened, if it involved Thomas and Teresa, It was enough to have Y/N sobbing in our arms for hours and both myself and Tara knew she was going to need people there to pick her up when she eventually woke up in the morning but we we're both too worry to sleep in case she had a nightmare or burst out crying while in her sleep.

I can't recall a time where I had ever seen my sister this hurt and broken, I feel a warm hand lay on my shoulder softly rubbing it ever so gently Tara stands behind me soothing me knowing I am worried about my sister she smiles "We'll be here for her, she'll be ok" she says I smile back at her "Yeah, she needs us" I say as Tara takes a seat next to me quietly.

We spend the next hour just talking about what we remember including funny stories about our younger sisters as we were both the eldest of them, she continues to rub my shoulders as well as kiss the sides of my neck gently not leaving any marks unlike our siblings we also told jokes and laughed together, we then decided to read a book together and before we knew it we heard the sound of Y/N waking.

Y/N's Pov

After what happened in the tree house all I remember is running away crying after catching Thomas and Teresa kissing and everything blacking out as my brother and Tara held me in their arms as I sobbed, I sat up on the bed in Tara's cabin glancing around as my eyes adjusted to the room seeing them reading a book together on the couch both of them look over to me as I woke up.

"Hey sis.." Gally said walking over and embracing me in a hug "Hey Y/N, We are here for you" Tara smiled I smiled back at her "Thanks guys.. I am sorry about sobbing and falling asleep" I say looking down they shake their heads "Don't be sorry sis.. What happened though if you don't mind me asking" he says looking concerned I took a deep breath "I went up to the tree house to see what was taking them so long as both Teresa and Thomas said they need to talk and I poked my head in catching them kissing there" I explain with crying almost feeling numb about it really.

Tara looked at me with a look of anger towards Teresa in her hazel brown eyes, Gally glanced over seeing her too "Tara don't..." I say she looks at me sighing "She is so fucking stupid! Why would she do that! She knows you love her!" Tara exclaims almost punching a wall but Gally stopped her "Hey love just calm down" he says calming her in an instant with his smile "It's not worth it Tara" I respond she nods quietly.

We sat talking for an hour before the sound of my stomach rumbling interrupted us loudly, we all burst out laughing "Well someone sure is hungry" Tara chuckled calming to speak I nod barely able to contain myself "Yeah I am I guess" I said smiling for the first time this morning it was a nice distraction hanging out with my brother and Tara I had no clue it was this much fun being around them.

"Speaking of hunger I am quite hungry myself, does breakfast sound like a plan and then we can go from there" Gally suggest we both nod at him "Sounds like a plan to me" Tara says as I nod agreeing "That sounds like a good idea to me, but what if they are there.." I enquire, Gally smiles warmly at me "They won't say or do anything to you" he says as Tara nods "I think they know you need a lot of space because they didn't follow you" she say.

I nod we all get up and walk out of Tara's cabin where she had now set a second bed for myself to stay on for a little while until things were a little more stable I didn't feel at all comfortable staying in the tree house with Teresa being there, not right now I needed some time and space away, We reached the food hut and entered together as a group greeted with smiles from Newt as we joined him.

"Morning you three, surprised it's you guys together this morning" he says looking to me having no clue as to what had happened the last night, Tara and Gally both glanced at me making sure that I was ok to speak "I'm fine guys, it's ok" I say to them breathing "Uhhh? Guys? Did something happen?" Newt asked sounding very confused, I nodded my head slowly "I'm afraid so, it's a lot to take in though" I say to warn him as I glance at him.

"Well I am here so feel free to continue" he says holding a smile on his face in support of me "Well, you know how I went back to check on those two last night Newt?" I say rejogging his memory he nods raising a brow "Yeah.. What happened Y/N" he asked looking concerned "Well... I got back to the tree house and when I poked my head up I turned to see Thomas and Teresa kissing and she wasn't moving" I explain to him, his face instantly turns to sadness and he embraces me in a hug knowing the meaning "I am so sorry you went through that, they are assholes the pair of them" he says as he lets go of me placing a hang on my should "I know, I ran off sobbing bumping into these guys" I respond they nod "Yeah but we are ignoring that today and having fun" Gally says.
