Sarah's POV

"It was a beautiful spring day. We couldn't have picked a better time to get married.

We had it under the cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. The sun was shining but it wasn't hot. Just a cool breeze. The trees were wrapped in white and black ribbons and hanging from its branches were tiny black and white paper cranes. Rows of white chairs with black bows on the back lead to the altar; a stunning white wooden atlar strewn with black roses, a perfect place to declare our love for each other, wouldn't you think?

My dress was gorgeous... and expensive. But holy shit it was beautiful. A strapless white ballgown with tiny black lace feathers around the edges and arcoss my chest. It was amazingly soft and it made me feel so fragile but also as if I could fly. The train was at least 15 ft of intricate black lace over white silk. I would kill to wear that dress again

My best friend, Emily (and the maid of honor) was not only late, she had my veil and bouquet. Ten minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, she burst through the door wearing her dress backwards and her lipstick smeared.

'He better have been cute Em,' I said with a smirk on my face. I was surprising calm, despite the big commitment I was about to make.

Emily handed me the veil and the bouquet. The bouquet consisted of white Cala lilies and white babies breath, wrapped in a black ribbon. I think by now you can guess the theme for the wedding.

After fixing my veil and my hair, that's when the nervous feelings started to set in. Emily was in the corner fixing her dress and putting her face on.
How do I explain pre-wedding jitters..? It's kind of like a mild anxiety attack with a buttload of thoughts running through your head. My palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy.

Anyways, it was time to start. I gave the signal that I was ready and Emily started lining the bridesmaids, who mainly consisted of Danny's insufferable cousins. I heard the muffled sound of the violins playing canon. I suggested walking down the aisle to the song Dancing Queen but Danny's parents shut it down pretty quickly The doors opened and one by one the bridesmaids walked down the white carpet.

Emily, after adjusting her double D's into place, strut down the aisle with the best resting bitch face she could muster (something we planned just for Danny's parents). Whispers and mutters could be heard from the elders and a few giggles even.

The flower girl, Danny's niece started down the aisle, dropping black and white rose petals behind her. Gripping my bouquet tightly, I started to walk down too..."

Danny's POV

"She was stunning, absolutely gorgeous. I didn't expect anything like that. Sigh, that was one special day.

Before the ceremony, my parents pulled me aside.
'Look son, this is your last chance. Leave now or you'll regret this forever,' said my mother with menacing eyes. That look gave me nightmares when I was a kid. "You have to choose between that tramp,' she said as she pointed towards the bridal tent, 'or your family, your mother, who loved you, cared for you and gave birth to you.'

'Mom, I love her. Please, I'm begging you. Don't do this. Dad, help me.'

My dad simply shook his head, looked down at the floor and walked away.

'Daniel, I only want the best for you.' She took my face in her hands. I took her hands firmly.

'Mom, she is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love her and I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, start a family with her, and I want you to be in it.'
I basically told her half of my vows. Her brow furrowed and her nostrils flared as if she just heard the most disgusting thing ever. Enraged, she flung her hands out of my grasp and clenched them into fists.

'You're not my son.' She screamed as she ran off.

I didn't bother going after her, I couldn't anyways. The band had started to play so I rushed back to position and watched the bridesmaids march down the aisle.

When Sarah came out, my mind went blank. I don't think she has ever been so beautiful than in that moment. Her hair was covered in tiny white feathers that matched nicely against her dark brown hair. Her face was covered by her veil but I already knew that she would be stunning. No words can describe how I felt.

I couldn't help but smile. My heart was beating so fast. As if on cue, a gentle breeze rustled the cherry blossoms and petals came flying down like snow. It was incredible. Looking at her, I even forgot about my parents, until she turned her head towards their two empty seats."
