Sarah stood in front of the mirror to check the result of her hard work getting ready for the night. She had put in a lot more effort than last night's date with Toby. She wanted to look her best on her first date with David.
"God! I'm acting like a teenage girl." she groaned under her breath a little embarrassed but still feeling so giddy and excited for her date.
Giggling to herself, she twirled a bit and nodded satisfied at how she looked. She was wearing a sleeveless red satin dress that hugged her body perfectly and flared down beautifully to right above her knees. She wasn't even sure why she had brought that dress from her parent's house in the first place, but she looked definitely good in it.
She had paired the dress with black heels and a black clutch. Her hair had been pulled up into an updo with a few strands falling around her face. Her make-up was light but she couldn't resist using red lipstick that had covered her lips. Her pearl earnings were dangling beautifully from her ears matched with a pearl necklace, completing her look.
Her style looked simple and classic but elegant.
She stared at her reflection for some minutes and when she looked into her eyes, doubt clouded her thoughts. Her broad smile faded slowly and sadness and doubt gleamed in her eyes.
Was it a good idea to go on a date with David Miller, the man whom she had tried her best to avoid falling for, yet here she was, saying yes immediately to go out with him.
Was it wise to further her relationship with the very man who had caused her ....
The knocking on the door cut off her train of thought. She blinked a few times and glanced at the clock on her bedside table to see it was exactly 7 P.M. Taking a deep breath she calmed down her nerves.
She walked out of her bedroom and opened the front door, only to suck in a breath at seeing the fine specie man in front of her. He looked stunning. His face was clean-shaved giving a good show of his defined and sharp jawline and his hair was gelled back neatly.
He looked dapper in his black tailored suit that was complimenting his lean and muscular body. Power and authority were oozing out of him in waves.
His stunning blue-gray eyes were raking her body up and down with such intensity with a hint of hunger that made her heartbeat skyrocket and her body heat up like she was on fire. His eyes finally focused on her eyes and she gulped as a shiver ran down her spine at seeing the shadow of lust in his eyes.
"Jesus you look gorgeous." he hucked out, clearing his throat and moving a bit on his feet to adjust his pants a bit.
"You look good yourself." she said shyly and dropped her head a bit, not able to hold his stare anymore.
"These are for you."
She looked up at him and gasped at seeing the beautiful colorful bouquet that he had held in front of her. Different small flowers with bright colors wrapped beautifully with blushing lady tulips, daffodil gray tabors, and small pink roses caught her eyes.
"Wow, David, it's beautiful." she gushed in a small voice while taking the flowers and caressing the petals with admiration. She gazed up at him with a smile. "Thank you. This is the most beautiful bouquet that I have ever gotten."
"The lady who I have given them to is much more beautiful." he answered, making her smile broaden and all doubt leaved her mind. "Are you ready to go?"
"Yes!" she replied. "Just let me put these in a vase and grab my heels and clutch."
She turned and walked back into her flat, giving David time to quickly adjust his pants, stifling a groan. She looked ravishing in her red dress, and the thought of other men looking at her throughout the night was driving him crazy.
