AYANOKOJI KIYOTAKA POV:
Sakayanagi and I strolled leisurely down the quiet path, enveloped in a serene atmosphere devoid of any other students. The only sounds that reached our ears were the gentle shuffling of our own footsteps accompanying us and the occasional tap of her cane providing support as we walked.
The silence of the surroundings allowed us to focus on our conversation, with the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze becoming the backdrop to our peaceful journey. Each step we took seemed to echo in the hushed surroundings, creating a unique rhythm that was solely ours to experience.
I have observed that in this world, Sakayanagi tends to be more open and expressive than most. It is fascinating to see how, upon recognizing me, she willingly reveals her vulnerable side and becomes more transparent in showcasing her emotions, allowing a glimpse into the depths of her inner world and establishing a deeper connection through such sincere displays of authenticity.
In every word she speaks, every emotion she conveys through her expressions, and every tender gesture she makes, it is clear that genuine affection emanates from her. It is no wonder that I find myself attract towards her.
"I hope you won’t start avoiding me, Ayanokouji-kun," she softly whispered, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, conveying a range of emotions from worry to longing, hoping for reassurance in the face of uncertainty.
Surprised by the unexpected nature of her question, I felt a sense of calm wash over me as I gently inquired, "What could possibly make you think that I would ignore you?"
"The thing is i am planning to establish myself as a prominent figure in this highschool, I figure you want a future where your days are spent in peace. I would be the least likely person you would want to be caught with, as my reputation can make a lasting impact on your highschool life."
She is genuinely worried that her presence in my life could potentially disturb the peace and harmony that I strive to maintain in my life.
I find myself experiencing a peculiar mix of emotions that I can't quite understand or control.
"Don't worry, I have some other plans in mind that don't involve simply living my life in peace."
I observed a shift in her expression as the veil of sadness lifted from her face, to be replaced by a compelling spark of curiosity that ignited her whole being.
"If you don't mind, could you please clarify and provide more details about the 'other plan' you mentioned earlier."
"You're interested in uncovering the genuine reason, aren't you?"
"If you could kindly share with me, I would be very interested in understanding the reasons that drove you to choose to attend high school."
"I have a strong desire to create meaningful memories that will be cherished forever."
I could see from the way she reacted that my response caught her off guard, indicating that she had not anticipated my answer.
"You possess truly beautiful desire, Ayanokoji-kun."
As our eyes met, a silent understanding seemed to settle between us, and I offered a nod in acknowledgement, allowing a peaceful hush to envelop our surroundings.
As we strolled along, not a single word passed between us, enveloped in a peaceful silence.
Sakayanagi gazed deeply into my eyes, her expression hesitant yet resolute, and hesitated momentarily before inhaling deeply, as if gathering the courage to voice the question that had been weighing heavily on her mind. Finally, with a determined resolve, she found the strength within herself to ask.
