You roll over in bed, your body soar and your mind exhausted as you realize that the other side is completely empty. Chenle doesn't occupy it anymore like he had last night.

You sigh to yourself, wondering how long you'll keep on living like this. Disrespecting yourself and living a lie.

Not only does he already have a girlfriend but he also only comes to you when he is having a bad day or when he gets into a fight with his girlfriend. Basically, it's all about his feelings and not yours because he never shows up when you call him.

At first you decided to do this for the sake of fun and lust with no strings attached, until the situation humbled you into a mature person.

Now you're just left lovesick, guilty and heartbroken, as you've fallen in love with him while also developing a conscience.

You drag yourself out of bed, not ready to face another day of your sorrowful life, but you do it anyways.

Chenle had appeared at your doorstep last night, drenched, devestated and in tears. You had promised yourself freedom from this entanglement until you saw him like that. That's when you realized you couldn't do it.

Not at all.

At least not when he was at his worst. No. You'd wait and today that waiting had finally come to an end. With a heavy heart, you picked up your phone and sent a break-up text to him.

You told him that you two should never meet again as you're moving away (which is true) and that you're exhausted to keep this going, finally knowing your worth and what not.

You knew that it was cheap and immoral to say all of that through text but told yourself that it'd be easier and you weren't even an official couple so it didn't matter.

After that you deleted his number and blocked him from all platforms so that he couldn't contact you at all. Although you doubted it since he never did anyways.

You secretly believed that he'd actually be happy you did this because although he tried to hide it from you, you couldn't help but notice that he'd been acting distant lately. Which wasn't like him.

Even though you were just a side chick, Chenle used to give you so much attention before. He'd call you on the regular, even take you out on dates sometimes and fully pay attention to you while he was with you.

Unlike the past few months when he suddenly changed and only used you for his benefit.

Though all of it doesn't matter now that you've decided to completely end it. Canceling the overthinking part and choosing peace of mind over everything. You decide that you'll prioritize yourself from now onwards.

And whether he comes back or not, you'll choose yourself over him. Everytime. <3.
