In the corridors of Gia's room only a candle serves as a light. The dawn has risen, yet, she barely even move a muscle. Rotting in her bed has been somehow a talent she's good at.

"ANO BA GIA?!"

A voice of a man calling and banging her door pierced the night. Frustrated she forcefully rose to her feet. When she opened her door, a tall man stood before her, eyebrows furrowed, eyes blazing, and mouth that is itching— ready to yell at her again.

"Good morning kuya," words that Gia could only utter.

"Ano ba Gia? You're already 17! Anong oras na wala ka man lang ginawa buong magdamag?!" scolded by her brother.

Gia on the other hand, perhaps, had been accommodated with her brother's preaching. Passing by him she just went downstairs to fill a glass of cup with water. Clutching her thirst and hunger with just a sip of a cup. Followed by his brother who could only do nothing but sigh as she watch her sister destroy herself slowly and tenderly.

"Gi," softly murmured

"I'm fine." finishing his brother's sentence.

" *Sigh* O sige, dadalhan nalang kita ng pagkain sa itaas. May pasok na bukas, wag ka masyadong magpupuyat." his brother said, trying to ease the wrenching tension within them.

Gia only nod in agreement and went back upstairs to her room, opening her computer and staying another late night, ignoring the fact that she has school the next day.

The next morning, time went fast and the sun had risen. Tired as she is, Gia has to go to school unwillingly.

"Tanginang buhay 'to!"

"MISS ALEXA!"

Gia, who had been lost in oblivion since the beginning, snapped back to attention when the teacher called out to her. Surprised, she swiftly rose from her chair.

"IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY INTEREST IN MY CLASS YOU MAY LEAVE! YOU ARE DISTURBING EVERYONE!"

And without hesitation she packed her bag and left. Without nowhere to go she decided to stay at the library.

There, she found solace where quiet and peace filled the air. No mumbling, no yelling, and the thin bob wire that had been strangled inside her head all suddenly disappeared. Not within a minute Gia dozed off unaware that the school bell had already rang.

"Gi! hoy gising!! tanginang 'to, ang tapang tapang kasi, lalaban pa sa mga guro,"

Disturbed, she opens her eyes slowly. In front of her, she sees the silhouette of a lady. For a moment, her mind conjures an illusion of her mom, drenched in blood, reaching out to wake her. With a sudden flinch, she realizes that the figure before her is none other than her best friend, Caryl.

"Oh?! Ayos ka lang? What happened?" worry is evident in Caryl's voice.

"Ah! Ayos lang. Ilang oras na akong nakatulog?"

"Tanginamo buong araw girl! Kanina pa kita hinahanap, di ka na nga naka pasok sa ibang subject hindi ka pa naka-kain,"

Gia only hummed in awe. Caryl and Gia had been friends ever since they could remember. In Caryl's point of view, Gia is still the little friend she had growing up.

Gia Alexandra Vicosta, she is currently 17 years old. Tragedy intersected in her happy life making a drastic change. Caryl on the other side shows remorse as she know how remarkable her friend is.

"You used to shine so bright, what happened Gi?"

The only thought that arise in her mind as she help Gia stand up.

"We'll stay forever, through thick or thin," words suddenly escaped Caryl's mouth.

This put the two in a silent situation. Caryl only then pulled Gia outside the school when she realized how weird that had been.

"Well that was awkward," Gia thought.

"Tara Gi! kwek kwek oh!" Caryl's invite distract Gia from her thought.

The evening bliss touched Gia's face as she stand outside her room's balcony.  Soothing vast of wind, peaceful evening as the cold weather hugged her skin. "I better get back inside and wear a hoodie," she thought.

"Gia? Tinawagan ako ng titser mo, ano nanaman nangyari?"

His Brother suddenly appeared in thin air.

"Anjan ka na pala kuya,"

"Sagutin mo ako. Anong nangyari?"

"I was.... staring blankly. She said I was disturbing the class and so I was welcome to leave."

"And you did?" his brother asked with disbelief.

"I mean. She asked me to. And so I did."

Their communication wasn't mutual, leaving the both to bicker that lasted almost all evening. Gia could not take his brother alas she lashed off, ran inside her room, and locked herself out. In her own comfort, Gia isolated herself in the little corner of her room. With no one on her side, she slept the night with a burden feeling.

"I hate my life. I hate everything. Everyone and everything is so at peace with their own skin. They disgust me. It should have been me who died there. Why'd you leave me here to suffer. This is so shitty. I miss you so much mama. I miss you papa. Is that too hard to ask? to see you? feel you? be with you again?"

*RIIIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGG*
