A story that has been told many times before: the story of a hero, a man so strong and charming that he saves his people from trouble. I have always found them so charming and delightful. The narrative is so predictable, but it never fails to satisfy the reader. In such a story, the hero is his action; his behavior is to serve the story. Such a shame, as one wonders who is behind the mask of a knight. May those who are curious find out.

A beautiful day where the sun shines as bright as always, birds singing, and the water of the river makes sounds so calming, following the castle's suvage. Such a castle it is; the outlook of it makes one easily say that it must have taken years to make. In that castle, which is probably made with hard labor and no pay, lives the mighty king. His citizens call him Soza the conqueror. He is most known for his incredible army, one known as the Knights of the Night, as they mainly wear black armor. This specific army of his is used specifically at nighttime when the enemies are done fighting the main army of knights with plain armor. This war tactic brought hate for the king but also a sense of deviousness as well. These men were created to be men of the night; from childhood, they would sleep in the morning and have to spend time mostly when people are asleep. Most boys were picked from families to be even more loyal to their country and the king, not very human of a practice but is a useful one. These new orphan children would be given education on weaponry and fighting as well as horse riding. But there is a special knight, of course, a beautiful knight any narrator would love to talk about. A young man around his late teens, dark hair, and even darker attitude with rather slim physical features. He is called El Salvador; he got his name after rescuing the king's councilwoman, Miss Dain, and is now rather tight with the king, even getting invited to celebrations in the castle and so on. He was just like the other times asked to attend a celebration for the upcoming spring festival by his dear friend. He got up as usual, looking at the mirror. The mirror looked at him also. "Mirrors always creep me," he said. "As if there's another world that looks at me," he continued. "What if the mirror me is evil and tries to get into my place?" Just as he was saying all these, the maid came in, rushing to the toilet. "What are you mumbling, paranoid much?" Salvador looked at her in a rather annoyed and shy manner and said, "Get out, get out! I don't need your help cleaning my toilet, you witch." She said, "Fine by me, means less work anyway. You knights only go to dumb wars and sleep all day. This place of yours is like a barn." Salvador fled, not even letting the maid finish her sentence. He and the maid were friends till the time she was hired by the king to clean the homes of the knights who were too used up to do it in the daytime. And with time, Salvador and the maid became friends, well, friends that fight or mock each other constantly. She was no simple maid though, yes, a commoner maybe, but her parents, the councilwoman's family, so she was rather tight with the king just like Salvador. So Salvador waited for her to clean up and joined her for the horse ride. After she got dressed, which felt like it took a day to Salvador, the horses started to move. "I can't wait to see Dain," the maid said. "I don't really feel like talking right now," Salvador said. "Oh, sure, well, I don't care if you talk back. I just wanna talk about her so, so much." This kinda brought a smile to Salvador's face. About an hour later, they were there, to the kingdom, when a commoner man opened the door to them. "Sir Salvador, welcome in, sir," he said, bowing slightly, "and you, ma'am," again the butler slightly bowed to her. "I'm never gonna get used to this, I swear," the maid said. "Get used to what?" Salvador said. "To the bowing; it is rather too much and feels like a way of narcissistic satisfaction." While they were speaking, a similar face came up to them. "Hi, Heln! It's amazing to see you, my dear friend," said Councilwoman Dain. "I was just down in the kitchen with the cooks; would you like to try something so exotic?" said Councilwoman. "What is the dish called?" Maid Heln said. "It is called sushi; we just got a foreigner cook from Japan a week ago, and I have been eating it ever since he came to visit us." Heln looks at her with stars in her eyes. "I have heard of those from a merchant; I always wanted to try them." Dain also looking accent. "Then come with me fast." Salvador was stunned to see them just disappear into the castle's darkness. "Shit, how to find the guest room?" Then he saw the butler leaving the kingdom, most probably for a lunch break. Salvador did come to the castle but never was left alone as the castle is too big and has many similar rooms to get lost. He had to find the guest room soon, as King Soze must be waiting for him there. Getting a bit anxious, he started to look into the rooms in the big hall; most rooms were empty or locked, some being the staff room. As he was getting more and more lost in the kingdom, he starts to hear sounds of bells. Getting curious, he follows the sound and goes after it, opening the door and...
