(Please note that Amy is one of my OCs and not based on any person I know of. I got inspired by some Dogday cowboy fanart and decided to make a story about so here we go, enjoy!)
Sheriff Dogday was chasing Amy down; but.. why? Probably because she stole some of the toast left out by the nearby bakery in the open. Sheriff Dogday sped up his running then pounced onto Amy, making Amy fall with him on top of her.
"You're gonna have to pay for those, Miss..." Sheriff Dogday said with his thick country accent and a husky tone of voice. Amy blushed softly at his voice and returned the toast to him. She dusted herself off. Sheriff Dogday helped her up and tipped his hat to her.
"Uhm... S-Sorry about that, I wasn't thinkin' straight, Sheriff..." She paused and looked at him, unknowing his name.
"Ya seem like a new sheriff.. aren't ya?" She said in a sarcastic tone in her soft southern accent.
"Yes, and the name's Sheriff Dogday. Pleasure to meet ya..." He put his hand out for her to shake it.
"Amy.. The name's Amy, Sheriff." She said shyly, They shook hands and smiled. Amy had been looking for a job and couldn't seem to find one, so she took this opportunity to ask him as a big one.
"Do you... have any recommendations for any jobs around here, Sheriff?" She asked with curiosity.
Dogday looked at her with a grin.
"Matter of fact, I do.. I've been in the need of an assistant, a partner... A sheriff's deputy. And you seem like you could take the job.. you up for it?" He looked down at her, waiting for her answer.
Amy was shocked that had just offered her one of the best jobs in the whole town. She immediately nodded and grinned with determination.
"Now a deal's a deal, Sheriff. You've got yourself a Deputy." She shook his hand again and became the Sheriff's Deputy.
