Chapter 2

"Scarlett....scar? Wake up.." I heard a faint voice and the next thing i knew i was drenched in water and woke up like a drowning fish. What? Did i just....forget it.

"What in the hell is happening here?" I screamed on the top on my lungs as i finally opened my eyes to see evelyn lying on her back holding her stomach and an empty bucket lying beside her.

Was it? That was? It was dream? OMG! It was just a dream! I fell on my bed again closing my eyes. It was just a dream. Eve is not that strong to kick someone. Haha!

"What are you smiling at? I just threw a whole bucket of water on you?" She said being confused.

"May be just thinking about the 101 ways to kill you right now" i said launching myself on her.

I feel so light to know that it was just a nightmare.

We were already late because of that water act by Eve but we made it to the school at time. It was as usual. Nothing new.

"Hey! Scar....eve!" Darcy passed by smiling towards me and giving a mean glare towards eve. Darcy is in my chemistry class. She is a nice girl but doesn't really like Evelyn. I actually don't know the reason why both look like they'll rip each other's heads off if i wasn't here. Evelyn says Darcy is dumb. Thats what she says about every single kid in our school.

Everything went normal but Evelyn was acting little weird today, may be she isn't well or something but all she does is check her back every once in a while. I asked her but she passed the question with some weird theories of her. You just can't make her to spill out her secrets.

This day wasn't even that bad but the time we reached home all we saw was 2 bags and my mum ready to go somewhere.

"Mum? Whats going on?" I asked throwing my bag on the sofa.

"Uh...mm! Actually i have an important business trip to Scotland for 3 days...i'm sorry i didn't tell you before but Darlin i need to go..it was urgent.. I'm sorry!" Mum said while gather her important belongings into her bag.

"Oh...is it that important?" I asked while playing with the hem of my shirt. This is what happening...mum never stays. Either she has a late shift or trips. I don't why she keep distant from me.

"hey! I'm sorry but i'm doing this for you only!" She said placing her hands on either side of my cheeks and kissed my forehead. She moved to Evelyn and hugged her. She was saying something to her which was inaudible for me. I ignored and stood there awkwardly. She is running away again...from me i guess.

Mum called an hour later that she reached airport safely and said she'll call daily to ask if we both are not wrecking her house.

Evelyn was asleep and it was 7 in the evening and i was flipping channels to find something watchable and suddenly door bell rang.

"Eve u invited someone?" I yelled from the living room and when i got no reply and walked towards the door to check who is it.

I unlocked the door and saw someone tall standing with his back towards me.

"May i know who is it?" I asked and he faced me and asked the same question from me. Weirdo

"U are standing on my porch and asking who i am?" I said folding my hands in front of my chest.
