Lia's POV
The next day after the phone call, me and Jack drove to the morgue. Truth was, I wasn't happy, and I wasn't sad. They were just gone.
"Hi, uhm, you called me yesterday about my parents?" I ask as Jack holds my hand.
"Talia Becker?"
"Yeah, that's me."
"Is this your brother?" He asks pointing to Jack.
"No, boyfriend." I correct.
"Okay, follow me."
The two of us follow behind the coroner, and Jack squeezes my hand to calm me. We turn the corner and walk into the room with my parents.
Blankets covering their dead bodies.
"Are you ready?" The coroner asks me.
"Y-yeah." I say as I walk towards the tables.
He removes the cloth, revealing my mother's pale face. I gasp slightly and back away into Jack. He removes the second one, and there's my father.
"That's them." I whisper.
"I'll give you a minute with them." The coroner says.
"You want me to stay with you?" Jack asks.
"No, I'm okay. I think." I say as I walk over again.
"Okay. Take your time." He says as he kisses me on the head.
I slowly walk over to the tables and stare at my own dead parents.
"You really took everything from me. My life, friends, sister, and I guess you too." I start.
"You made me feel like a nobody, my life became a living hell, and you always won. Always."
I start to tear up and look down while laughing a little.
"I don't even know why I'm doing this. You don't deserve this, or me at all. You never even saw me as a real person or daughter. You only saw me as a thing, or-or a punching bag."
I tears fall down my cheeks and I just laugh again.
This was ridiculous.
"You were never truly my family. The only real thing I had in my life, was Hailey. But I guess you took that away too."
I stare at the two of them one last time before I turn around and leave.
"God, I can't believe I yelled at two dead people." I laugh while wiping my eyes. "And cried while doing so."
"Hormones?"
"Definitely."

Buck's POV
The team was eating breakfast together when Lia walks into the station. She was a few minutes late, which wasn't bad, but it wasn't like her. And Jack had dropped her off as well.
"Hey guys." Jack says as he walks upstairs by himself.
"Hey, man." I say as I walk up to him. "Where's Lia?"
"Downstairs changing. But Buck, I don't think she's doing well."
"Because of her parents?" I whisper. Lia had only told me and Jack about what happened.
"And she never ate the whole time she stayed over my house last night." He says.
"Yeah, she hasn't really been eating either at home." I say as I see Lia walking over to the gym instead of I upstairs. "I'll talk to her."
