The week had passed, and the flowers were flourishing more than before. It was the day of the summer trip and I stood at the bus stop with two large, white duffel bags filled with clothes, food and normal camping supplies. Everyone was chattering and excited. I was quite the opposite. I was NOT looking forward to a 5-hour bus trip next to some loser. Just to get off and spend a week in a hot, sweaty summer camp filled with bugs and the deadly heat of the sun.

"Who are you sitting with?" asked a girl. I looked over to see Liz. Liz was 15. She was a brunette and she was wearing big baggy clothing. Liz was one of the quiet smart kids who only talked to the people she would consider her friend. I stared her up and down.

"Not you, that's for sure." I said side-eyeing her. I was not going to be caught dead next to that girl. I looked around and sighed. What bigot would I be placed next to this time? Last bus trip I was sat next to Sydney. A dark gothic chick who's pretty but hides it under her disgustingly shaded black eye shadow and lipstick. Then I saw Ashly. She was also alone. I felt bad, but at the same time I didn't. Ashly looked anxious. I knew she didn't like to be alone. And since the incident with me almost drowning at her pool party and HER being held responsible, we had been ignoring each other. But now, all I wanted to do was go and talk to her, and I had no idea why. I walked up to Ashly but was stopped in my path.

"Hey." said Alex, standing in front and over me. I leaned to the right to try and see Ashly.

"Hey." I said, looking up at him. I had almost immediately forgotten about Ashly as soon as I looked at him.

"So..." he said, leaning on a wall beside him. I looked down at the floor and blushed slightly. I saw Axel walk over. God, I hated Axel. He was so yappy and annoying. If it weren't for Alex being friends with him, I totally would've told him to piss off.

"Hey Axel!" yelled Alex, holding his hand out. Axel slapped his hand.

"We're boarding the bus dude! Come on, you're sitting next to me!" said Axel, ruffling Alex's hair. I scoffed. I grabbed Alex's upper arm.

"He's actually sitting with me." I said, gripping him tightly. Axel looked at Alex with confusion. But Alex just shrugged.

"Alright then... I'll sit with Kai or something...". Then Axel walked off. I didn't feel bad at all.

"Let's go board the bus!" I said, pulling him towards the bus. Alex just nodded.

"Aight, let's go." he said, following me. Alex and I got onto the bus. We sat at the very back on a two-seater. I was going to have Alex all to myself. Then I saw Axel walking onto the bus and towards us. I could see what he was doing. Trying to make sure he could still hog Alex! Well not on my watch. I leaned my head on Alex shoulder and cuddled up to him. I closed my eyes. Alex chuckled softly and put his arm around me. It was working. We were a thing? I could tell he loved me. We were practically dating at this point. I was meant to distract Alex from talking to Axel, but instead, I started to fall asleep. The next thing I knew I was snoring lightly whilst using Alex as a pillow.
