Chapter Three

Ellie had been in Forks for two weeks and had settled in nicely and Bella had pretty much avoided her which she didn't mind.

In those two weeks one of her cold one friends had called her back she had offered to pay him to be her test subject for her spell that she found that could help them blend in better.

She had explained all the risks to him and everything but he still agreed because he wanted to live more normally to be able to be out and not he noticed so easily, he was actually supposed to be arriving at the house within the next few hours so they could get started.

Bella was out with Jacob who she had started hanging out with more over the past few days so she knew that she wouldn't be disturbed since Charlie was at work.

Ellie had everything already set up in the basement for a little extra privacy in case Bella was to come home sooner than expected. Now all she had to do was wait for Shawn to arrive.

Two hours later there was a knock at the door and Ellie got up from the couch where she had been reading over the spell again. She needed everything to be perfect. and opened the door she smiled at the brunette man on the other side of the door. "Shawn... it's good to see you again."

He smiled back, "Good to see you too Ellie." She let him into the house and led him to where they would be working. "We're only using the basement for extra privacy since I'm normally the only one down here except for my uncle sometimes."

The dark haired man nodded "Okay so what do you need me to do?"

"Just sit back and relax for now, I have to put everything together and then do the spell and you'll drink the potion and hopefully if this goes to plan tomorrow you'll start noticing more of your human features coming through."

He nodded again and sat down in the chair Ellie had told him to sit in and she got to work mixing all the ingredients together which took her about 10 minutes and then she started the spell which took another 15 minutes the potioned glowed and once it stopped Ellie did as well.

"Is it done?" Shawn questioned.

Ellie nodded "The potion is done, now all you need to do is drink it but just so you know there might be some slight discomfort afterward but that just means it is taking effect and working."

Shawn nodded as he took the vial from her and downed the contents in one gulp. The effects were felt almost immediately it was a tingling sensation. "I feel tingly already."

"Good that means it's working, though that feeling will magnify and become more uncomfortable as the effects set in but as I said that's supposed to happen."

"Now I guess we wait huh?"

Ellie nodded, "Yeah... if you want you can wait it out here with me that way if anything at all happens that's not supposed to I can fix it."

Shawn nodded, "Sounds good to me, Ellie." they went back upstairs and Ellie had Shawn wait in her room, she wanted not to draw attention to him since she was sure that her cousin knew about cold ones and Ellie just didn't want to answer any of the questions she knew that her cousin would ask, she was going to join him after she made a phone call.

The girl was almost certain that it would work which was why she was going to tell her uncle about it now but have him not tell his mate just yet to surprise her. "Ana, how's my favorite niece today?"

She snorted, "Uncle Kol, I'm your only niece... but I'm good, are you alone right now?"

"True which is why you're my favorite one and yeah why?"

She grinned, "Fair enough, I've been working on something for you and Dora but I don't want her to know just yet so it can be a surprise."

"Ooh, you've caught my attention now Ana, what is it?"
