"If yuh get a man like me. Yuh get substance. Yuh get quality. If yuh a good ooman. I'll take you on vacation. I give you shrimp. I give you lobsters. I give you berries. You can use my card. We can go on tour. I can take you to car Mart to choose the car that you like..."I laughed at my cousin being her usual self while mommy captures the moment and it's going viral by the hour.
Zay sent in her resignation letter two hours ago and the boss got it good. What he does was sent her home for the day to rest because he believes that she's probably drunk and won't think the same tomorrow.
Lucky for him, she has given them an additional two weeks before she leaves for good and it's just the same for me here. We work but has to compete with thieves for a spot that they'll ended up cheating for and win.
I didn't and I won't involved myself in any sexual relationship with my boss, manager or coworker for a promotion. The same goes for Zay, as well as dealing with bullying and religious conflicts.
It hurts my soul that she has to go through that and she's not even a christian as yet. She grew up believing the faith, just how I grew up having two religious parents and they allow me to choose my own path.
The funny things about this video is how Zay is still wearing the wedding dress and being her usual goofy self that we all love. Her carefree and sweetness comes naturally and I do pray she gets someone because I don't know how I'll break the new to her about my relationship status.
She knows that I'm being courted by a family friend for years now, but my guy starts talking about marriage under style so I know what is next to come.
With the meeting over, I was the only one left inside the room since home was the next destination.
But I don't know how I can explain it to Zay that in a few months, I'll be married and moving out to live with my Muslim man.
It's better to tell her now before it's too late.
Replaying the video, I almost didn't hear when the door opens.
I looked over my shoulder to see Mister Ralph so I paused the video and stood.
"Sir." I nod with acknowledgment.
"It's okay, Miss Pryce." He held an hand up. "You may sit."
I returned seated.
"My apologies for cutting your alone time short."
"It's okay, sir. No problem." I told him.
"Thank you. Can I speak with you for a moment?" He asked and I gestured to the seat at the head of the table.
He got seated and that's how I noticed the envelope in his hand.
I hope I'm not in trouble.
"The bride that was here with you earlier." He started, seemingly unsure of his words. "Your cousin I presume?"
"She is." I nod.
"Is she married?" He blurted. "It's a personal..."
Look at that.
I can not believe my eyes and ears.
"She's not married, but we all wish she was and that's why she was pranked into wearing the dress." I explained and he looks visibly relieved.
"I'm intrigued by her. I really am, but when I approached her to conversate, her expression was clear that she didn't want to talk to me so I couldn't push it. I thought my apology was weak, so I got this for her and I really hope I didn't come off the wrong way to her." He confessed, when here I was thinking it was a little accident.
