Echo is quiet throughout the day, she ignores Gerade and gives small talk to Dante. She has been quiet more often than normal, bags have been forming under her eyes and she has at least lost an unneeded ten pounds. She didn’t understand what was going on but she knew she was growing weak.

“Echo?” Dante questioned now that they were in gym having to play basketball, it was a simple sport that no one really got into since the gym teacher was out somewhere.

“Hm?” She slowly looked over to him while his gave her a worried expression.

“Is everything alright” He gave her another look, “You seem to be getting ill.”

“Maybe I am getting sick.” Echo spoke clearing her throat but as the ball was passed to her, the ball just hit right into her gut causing her to fall back.

“Echo!” Dante went to help her but the gym teacher must had just gotten back since he was already checking her, but it seems there was a bruise already forming on her abdomen where the basketball had impacted.

“She’s lost conscious.” He muttered then picked her up and carried her out of the gym to bring her to the office.

“Hmph.” Gerade simply walked until he was standing next to Dante, “Good job.” He patted his shoulder earning a blank look.

“ . . . .Yeah . .”

Alex was at home for lunch and was busy munching on his sandwich when he heard his phone ring, so he sighed getting out of his chair and walked for the phone. Picking it up he saw it was Echo’s school calling, so he pressed a button and placed the phone to his ear.

“Hello?”

“Is this Alex?” A professional voice spoke.

“Yes . . .”

“It seems that Echo has gotten injured while in P.E, and we need you to bring her home.”

“Alright.” Alex hung up quick and was out of the house in minutes; entering his vehicle he quickly drives to the school Echo attends, “What the hell . . .” Alex muttered angrily as the traffic blocked him just from entering the school, so he got out of his car in the middle of the street and walked the rest of the way to get to her. Appearing into the office he blinked noticing his brother.

“Alex?” Andrew questioned looking worried.

“Have they said anything?”

“Well it seems Echo is fine, just got hit with a ball, but she’s really sick.”

“The flu?”

“Maybe mono.” Andrew sighed while Alex grumbled then the school nurse came to them.

“She’s fine” A relieved sigh was heard, “Just needs to eat something and get some sleep.”

“That’s good.” Andrew smiled but frowned seeing their sister wander into the room not looking the greatest. They did notice she was losing weight but they thought that was just insecurities, but now the bags under her eyes were more noticeable.

“Hey guys.” Echo simply waved trying to smile but it faltered when seeing the looks from her brothers.

“Time to go home.” Alex spoke then walked out of the office while the other two followed. Once getting to the car, it was quiet. Andrew was in the passenger’s seat just sitting there quietly wondering if Alex was going to yell or just scold Echo, but she was already out like a light when she sat down on the comfortable seat in the back. Alex simply turned the key in the ignition and drove away back home where he would take care of his sister back to health, then after he’ll scold her for worrying him and Andrew. He just hopes she doesn’t give him the guilt trip, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to scold her at all.

“Why do you think this happened?” Andrew questioned while glancing back towards Echo worriedly.

“Probably because of her male friend.”

“You hate him, don’t you . . .”

“Of course I do.” Alex looked back towards Andrew with a determined expression, “And I will until he proves himself to me.”

“Dude, that sounded so weird.”

“Don’t think so perverted.” Alex sighed at his brother’s antics.

“Don’t be so mature.”

“I have to be,”

“No you don’t.” Andrew’s eye brow’s furrowed, “You don’t always have to be so strict, that was mom and dad’s job.”

“Andrew-”

“You didn’t have to take care of everything when they died, we could have helped” Andrew continued to speak, “You didn’t have to do everything on your own.”

“I didn’t.”

“Yes you did, you used to be so fun to be around.”

“I’m fun.”

“No, you’re not” Andrew sighed, “You’re like an old man.”

“I’m no-”

“Stop denying it, Alex.” Andrew finished and looked out the window to see they had gotten home so he opened the door then walked down the driveway.

“Where are you going?” Alex hollered now out of the car.

“For a walk!” Andrew called back and was out of sight. Alex huffed then closed his door to open Echo’s door and pick her up carefully while she slept. Walking towards the door he stopped for a moment to look over his sister who was still asleep.

“What have you done?” He whispered then got the two of them back into their house. Once inside he set her down onto the couch then observed, she did look thinner than usual and he had noticed a change in her behavior.

Ed rubbed at his chin with a scowl knowing his master had something to do with this, just recently Classy had spoken to him about what had been happening to Echo. It seemed that his master had been sucking the energy and life from Echo for his own gain, and Ed was beginning to get angered since if this lasted for any longer she could die. He wouldn’t let anything like that happen otherwise things could get truly nasty.

“What are you going to do, Edmund?”

“I’m going back to Hell.”

“Say hello to your mother for me, will you?”
