Year 116 AC

3rd POV

Y/n is now two names day and she is in the dragonpit picking out a dragon egg for her new sibling. Ser Harwin Strong escorted her to the dragon pit and watches how the young dragon picks from the clutch of eggs. "Don't think too much, princess. Just pick what you think is perfect for your sibling." Harwin told her. "I know, it's just hard." Y/n said before she saw the perfect egg for her new sibling. The egg looked like lime green with a hint of red. She picked it up and looked at it. "This one." Y/n said.

Ser Harwin grabbed the egg and put it in the hot coal before picking up Y/n and went to the carriage to bring them back to the red keep. Y/n was now playing with her seahorse sculpture that her grandsire Lord Corlys made her during his voyages. The young princess or prince as most people in the red keep know her and the sworn protector Ser Harwin arrived at the red keep. Harwin carried the young prince to a room. Another guard place the hot coal on the table and waited for Rhaenrya and Laenor.

Harwin knew that even though Y/n wasn't his, he would always protect her with everything he has. He played with her until the doors open revealing Rhaenrya who was holding Y/n new sibling with Laenor by her side. Y/n immediately got up and went to her parents. Rhaenrya smiled fondly at her oldest daughter before letting her come up to reveal her new baby brother. "This is your baby brother, Jacaerys Velaryon." Rhaenrya introduced the new family member. Y/n smiled at him as she saw the small babe with a patch of dark hair.

"Mother, I picked an egg for him." Y/n said to her before she had Ser Harwin open up the hot coal revealing the egg that she picked out. "That looks like the perfect one, Y/n." Rhaenrya said to her. Y/n smiled cutely making the three grown ups coo at her. "Aright, it's time for your lessons, young lady." Laenor said as he knew that Rhaenrya and Harwin want some time to their son. Y/n kissed her brother's head before following her father out to her septa who teaches her Valerian. Since the young prince egg didn't hatch she spent her time with her septa to learn of old Valeria and learning Valerian.

She excelled in her studies which made Rhaenrya propose a betrothal between Y/n and her one year old sister Helaena which Viserys and Alicent agreed instantly. Alicent agreed to this because Y/n is the first born daughter to Laenor and Rhaenrya and also she knows she is the only true born daughter to them since she knows Jacaerys is not. While Otto thought this was a good idea since Y/n is second in line to inherit the throne that his blood will be on the throne when her and Helaena wed but still wants his grandson on the throne. Laenor wants to train Y/n in wielding a sword but Rhaenyra told him she should start when she is five since she is still to young which he agreed.

Lord Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys Targaryen both love their granddaughter. Corlys always gifted Y/n things from his voyages while Rhaenys helps Y/n with her studies. Even if Y/n is only two she knows some of her history and loves to learn new things. Even though her egg didn't hatch she doesn't complain and waits patiently for a dragon that will one day be worthy of her as her father always says, 'you are the blood of both the dragon and the sea, you will find a worthy dragon that will choose you.'

Y/n was in the room trying to memorize the history of Aegon the conqueror and his two sister-wives. And when she got it right even if she doesn't speak perfectly her septa congratulated her of remembering her history. After hours of studying with her septa she was released for the day so she immediately went to her mother to see her baby brother. As she walked through the halls of the red keep everyone stopped and stared at her as she truely has the Valerian looks with her tan skin, silver-white curly hair and her violet eyes they ever seen. Everyone instantly brighten up as they see the two year old girl who greeted them when she pass by them. Even Ser Criston Cole is fond of the girl and that says something.

Once she made it to her mother's she went to her brother's cradle and see him peacefully sleeping with his egg that she chose. She made a promise to always protect him and any other siblings that come after from the serpents of the red keep. Now Y/n may be two but she is not dumb, she knows that Jacaerys is not really her father's son. He was Ser Harwins but that doesn't change the fact that she loves her baby brother besides he is a Targaryen through and through, it doesn't matter where he came from. She will love him and cherish him forever.

Year 118 AC

Y/n was now 4 and Jacaerys was 2 and right now they are in the dragon pit once more to find an egg for their new sibling. Y/n held her brother's hand the whole way to the dragon pit. And once they arrived they went to the eggs as Ser Harwin Strong was with them. "You can pick one Jace." Y/n told her brother. Jace looks at his sister before looking through all the eggs before he found the perfect one. Jace saw a grey with a patch of red egg and he chose this. "This looks perfect for our new sibling, Jace." Y/n said to him making him smile at seeing his eldest sister happy for him. He always looks up to his sister and wants her attention even if she is at her lessons with their uncle Aegon.

Y/n grabbed the egg and gave it to Ser Harwin who put it in the hot coal before going out of the dragon pit and into the carriage to take them back to the Red Keep. When they made it back the two immediately went to a room to wait for their mother while Ser Harwin put the hot coal on the table. Both the young children played with their toys while impatiently waiting for their mother and new sibling. Y/n sees her brother's dragon he named Vermax on the chair sleeping.

Her brother's egg hatched two months after he was born and Y/n couldn't be any happier. It seems like hours even though it's been a few minutes when the door opens revealing their mother and father holding a little bundle in their arms. Y/n and Jace got up from the ground. "Mother." Y/n started before going to the hot coal and opened it revealing the egg her brother picked out. "We chose an egg for the babe." Y/n said happily making Laenor and Rhaenyra smile at her. "That's looks perfect for your new brother." Rhaenyra revealed making Y/n's face brighten at another brother.

"I let Jace choose the egg." Y/n told them. Jace looks at sister. "Thank you, sister." Jace thanked as Y/n rubbed his head softly and then looked at the babe. Laenor held their new brother and squat down to their height as Rhaenrya sat down on the chair as she looks at her children with love in her eyes. "Meet your brother, Lucaerys Velaryon." Laenor introduces. Y/n peaked at his hair and see the same raven head that her brother sported on him, she knows she has to protect Lucaerys from the serpents in the red keep. "I will protect you until my dying breath." Y/n swears knowing when her brothers grow up they will be labeled bastards.

Y/n looked up at her father. "When do we start my training father?" Y/n asked as she knows she needs to learn how to weild a sword. "When it's your fifth name day." Laenor told her making her nod her head at him. Ser Harwin then held the babe in his arms as Laenor escorted Jace to the dragon pit with Vermax on Jace shoulders so that Ser Harwin and Rhaenrya could have some time together with their son. While Y/n has to learn Valerian from her Septa since her egg never hatched. She said bye to Jace before going to her lessons.

Y/n saw her uncle Aegon with the septa so she immediately sat down as her lessons started. Her grandsire King Viserys thought that her and Aegon should have the same lessons of teaching Valerian together since they are only a year apart from each other. This made both her and Aegon happy since they are friends while her uncle Aemond and aunt Helaena have different lessons than them. So for hours they were learning Valerian together until they were both done and went their separate ways. Y/n went to her aunt Helaena also her betrothed who was in the gardens looking at bugs.

Y/n sat down next to her as she tells Y/n about the bugs. The older girl doesn't seem to be bored as she listens to her betroth go on and on about all types of bugs. Meanwhile up on the balcony watching them is Alicent who looks at them with a small smile and knew she made a right choice to betroth them together. At that point she doesn't care about how her father wants Aegon on the throne because Y/n is second in line after her mother and is the only true born daughter to Laenor. And she wants nothing but happiness with both of the girls.

She sees the infatuation between the two that's why she agreed to the betrothal. She sat there watching the two before doing her own things and taking care of Aemond.
