In the quiet of your room, you questioned everything. Why did you feel so deeply about things, even the the tiniest of things? It was a burden, this sensitivity, filling your mind with a whirlwind of emotions you couldn't control.
You don't want to feel this way, especially about your best friend but your mind always consumes you whole and you hated it. You let everything affect you even when you try your hardest to fight it back.
Today, you would fight, not let Aslan affect you. You know you said you wouldn't fall back but it's an endless cycle you can't seem to break. It makes you feel worthless, you makes you feel like your a girl everyone hates for not being able to leave a stupid guy.
About 30 minutes later of lying around in your bed just crying and staring at the wall you decided to get ready for work.
You felt a lot better now, like your mom says, crying is the best way to heal your soul of weighted emotions.
You quickly put on a white long sleeve with a small bow on the collar of the shirt and paired it with black pants and your docs. You put your hair up in a pony tail and tied it with a ribbon and drove to work.
As you prepared coffee for a customer, Sasha was rambling about her cute hangout with Niccolo after the apartment, "So after we left Connie's apartment he drove me home and he said I could play aux. Of course I played a lana del rey song and let me tell you... he knew all the words to "Let the Light In."
You imagine Niccolo and Sasha singing to Lana Del Rey and it made your heart swell. "No way he knew the lyrics, Niccolo being a Lana fan? Now that's a green flag." You said as you poured milk into the coffee.
"He's so lana coded. I think I'm head over heels in love with him." Sasha leaned behind the counter next to you with a smile on her face. You smiled back at her, she deserves every bit of joy that comes her way.
"You met him like a week ago and he's already stealing your heart away from me. Shall I fight him?" You raise an eyebrow while questioning her.
She gaps as if she's hurt, "How could you ever think that he would steal me from you. My heart is made for you babe."
"Yeah it better stay that way." Sasha laughed and hugged you from behind. "I love you yn."
"I love you too Sash." she let go of you and flicked the side of your forehead. "Now go ahead and tell me what's bothering you." she said.
You turn around and raise your eyebrows with a shocked expression on your face. How was she able to tell, you made sure not to make it seem like you were upset. You have always been good at that so how could she see right through you?
"What do you mean i'm completely fine." You furrowed your brows. You hate lying but you also hate having to say what's bothering you, especially when you don't even know how to describe it yourself.
