"Dad, here you are, when are we having the meeting", Blythe said.
" Tomorrow, we have to meet as soon as possible on my part I would have liked it if we met today" Mark replied.
"Yes, I think it would have been better if we met today. BTW, Mom is looking for you, she found out about the case from her friends at the tea party and she's not the slightest happy about it.", Blythe said.
" I'll go talk to her", Mark replied a little bit agitated.
Amelia kept on moving back and forth in her bedroom as though she was about to deliver a baby. Mark entered the room sat down and started to drink spirits.
"Really Mark? , we are being disgraced publically and all you can do is to sit down and drink alcohol like a total failure. Do you know how embarrassed I was today at the tea party? Of course, you wouldn't understand.", Amelia said to her husband looking at him with grave disappointment.
" What do you want me to do Amelia? We are going to have a board meeting tomorrow to discuss how to solve this issue. Now you are here calling me a failure like it was Mark Jones who got sued, for goodness sake, it was the entire Jones family", Mark said.
"I did not marry a coward. Constantly you are waiting for people to get all the praise while you get nothing. Start doing something so you can get a break somewhere then people will start respecting you and not looking down on you like the failure you are", Amelia said.
Mark got out of the room and headed down to the bar to cool off his head. While there his best friend Jason stopped by to check how things were going with the family.
"Mark! My good friend how are you doing", Jason said with a playful push.
"How can you ask me that question after everything that's happening? Can you imagine Amelia called me a failure because I said we are waiting to have a meeting to discuss how we were going to come out of this mess", Mark said and drank a glass of wine at once.
The was an awkward silence for a long time then Mark said " You know sometimes I wonder whether I married a wife or a critique".
"Don't say that, I'm sure she was just stressed about everything.", Jason said.
"Let's go and meet Grace, the investigator you told me about. I think Amelia is right I have to try and figure it out before the meeting tomorrow", Mark said.
" Sure", Jason said.
The two men sat in Marks' rolls roys to go and meet Grace.
