Chapter 28 - Leon

I stormed out of the house, feeling my anger rise with every passing second. The more I thought about what just happened, the more I want to go back in there and.. and tear that bloodsucker limb to limb and show her who's boss! However, I just couldn't.. Not in the same house that Jodie is in. Especially while she was sleeping, I couldn't disturb her while she's in such a state.

That vampire.. I didn't feel threatened by her nor did I think she posed any sort of danger to my Scarlet and Jodie. Being a hunter, usually our job is to hunt down any predator such as vampires, werewolves, sirens, witches and more to protect our humans. Since they're.. weaker, slower and not as strong as us. In my time, I have hunted and killed these vile animals! They should be completely wiped out! The Elders might think differently though.. and well who can deny them. I respect them, completely, even if they're.. Those type of supernaturals. They're still the oldest, most powerful creatures on earth who hold the most power and knowledge.

Knowing this, many have joined their community to be protected and to learn from them. All type of supernaturals even the mermaids and fairies! And usually they're kept to themselves. That's only one of the reasons I need Scarlet and Jodie to join back with me.. Knowing that Jodie is so young, i'm afraid that something will come after her since no one knows what she will turn out to be. Human mother and Hunter father... it's unpredictable!

So, i'll do anything in my power to get them back under the community. Even if it means having to hurt them.. They have to know that this is for their best! Especially with these random attacks occurring all over the world, especially in the states.. I can't.. I won't risk it just because my wife is stubborn.

I walked away from the house, closing my fists with frustration. I walked in a different direction, making it over to these woods, where it was completely silent. I walked through them, knowing the dangers but.. I wanted to so badly tear something apart since I couldn't kill that fucking bitch! Those fucking vampires.. What foul beasts..

Suddenly, I stopped walking, I stood still listening to the soft breaths of.. some sort of creature I couldn't make out.

"Who's there!" I shouted, slowly looking around. Then, I heard a branch break and some leaf's crinkle as the thing moved.

"Hunter.." I heard it say, however before I could do a thing.

Suddenly, the creature pounced onto my back, it's weight weighing me down. Their sharp hands dug into my back, leaving deep and open wounds. Before it went further on, I swung my elbow with all my force and stood up seeing that.. the strange creature was unbalanced. Quickly, I pounced onto it, holding it down.

"Fuck!" I groaned as the creature tried to fight back. However, I used all my strength in my body to hold it down.

As the creature slowly moved, I observed it.. And it wasn't like anything I had seen before. This creature looked like those that were written about ages ago on those mythical books.. I've read alot in my life.. However, I couldn't put a name on it.

This thing.. It wasn't human.. I don't think it has a human form to transform into. This creature seemed so odd and rare to see. It was medium sized, hair growing from everywhere and the eyes.. They were huge and black which sent chills everwhere.

"You.. You hunter." The creature spoke, their voice laced with pure disgust. "Hunters don't deserve to live!" The creature spat, making me shake my head.

"What are you?" I questioned, holding down the brute, making sure it didn't get out of sight. It laughed, shaking it's head weirdly and quickly with speed.

Before my question could be answered, the beast flipped me off of it, sending me flying onto my back. As I lied down there, I felt the wounds to my back ache and bleed out as the creature stood over me. It watched me like a hawk, enjoying the pain I had endured.

"Disgusting." It muttered and in the blink of an eye, it was gone. The filthy beast was gone!
