"Why can't you be like your brother?!"
Growing up in a household while constantly being degraded, cursed and sweared at, and compared to someone (that someone being your own brother), is not all fun and games.
In the world there are 3 side genders, those being alpha, beta and omega. Every one of them has their own personal characteristics and if you don't fit in what you have been assigned to, everyone will look at you as an outcast.
He's an alpha, though no one would perceive him as one. That's why his mother is dissappointed too.
His younger brother is an alpha, one that looks like it too. He's tall, handsome, his body is well built, and his presence demands respect. He is also succesful and has a wealthy job, everything their mother could've dreamt of, everything she wanted from an alpha, from a son.
Then there's him, Jimin. He's nothing like his brother, it was questionable if he was even an alpha, standing next to the younger. Shorter than the average, with a gentle and tender looking body. The only thing left to his name was his lousy mouth and strong personality.
Him being a dancer didn't help the case either. Teaching others dance, especially contemporary dance, was not an alpha job in his mother's eyes. She constantly brought it up, trying to convince Jimin to change carrier and do something worthy. But he was just as stubborn as his mother, and nothing could take the love for teaching away from him.
His dad was nothing like her. They're both betas, but his dad never cared about Jimin's second gender. It didn't matter what he was, who he was with and what he did for a living. The only thing before his eyes was to make Jimin a good person.
Of course he loved all of them, but sometimes it was a headache living with his mom, and they both agreed to that. He was also a full grown-up, who else has to obey their mom when they're 25 years old?
She also got her nose into his love life. Which he didn't quite have. He barely dated, haven't kissed too many people in his 25 years and his sex life was six feet below. Nonexistent.
The sudden honk of a truck woke Jimin up from his deep daydreaming. Man, was it a busy day. Traveling by bus was annoying sometimes, but his car was in service after a tiny accident with the neighbour's trash container.
The man was looking out the window, staring at the line of cars barely moving. Sighs left his mouth one after the other, and he rested his head against the window. He's going to be late, again.
After sitting through the longest one hour of his life, he finally arrived at the hospital. Check ups were bothersome, but needed, especially in his case. As he entered he could smell all the different pheromones as well as the hospital scent hitting him too. He's never liked anyone's pheromones, it always disgusted him, making him feel sick. How could someone like it, or be attracted to it?
He approached the reception desk, seeing the familiar beta that he got to know since he started coming to this hospital.
"Good morning Yujin! Is Mr. Kim here already?" He put his elbows down on the desk, a friendly smile painted on his face.
"Hey Jimin! He's at his office, he arrived 20 minutes ago." She returned the gesture, grinning. They weren't that close but they surely enjoyed each other's company once in a while.
"Alright, thanks!" With that he turned around and made his way to his doctor's office.
He knocked and when he got permission he entered, seeing the man sitting at his desk, scanning through papers, deeply focused.
"Hello hyung!" He went closer to the doctor, sitting down in front him. The older looked up from the pile, smiling at the other.
"I've told you to stop calling me hyung!" He playfully ruffled Jimin's hair, also giving his head a light smack. Since he became Jimin's doctor they were inseparable.
