Within the city's bridge, the city's memorial bridge, stood two figures. The moon's light had shown brightly over the city's beautiful lights that continuously appeared and disappeared. With this season taking its effect, the nature's wind was chilled and light, making sure those who were walking out were wearing comfortable clothing.

"The sky looks magical, is it not?" One figure said as if they weren't bothered by the cold. Their eyes glanced at the magic that was unfolding every few seconds. How the sky looked like a wonderful creation. . . always bringing comfort to them even when they felt lonely.

The other sighed then chuckled as they looked at the sky, not really caring if strands of their hair sometimes blocked their vision due to the wind. "It. . . it really is." There was such a bittersweet look upon their face, realizing that it was possibly the last time they would ever respond like that. Tearing their eyes away from the sky when their vision slowly began to get blurry, they could only stare at the figure on the opposite side of them, making their attempt to hide their hand reaching for something. "But it.. it's too bad you'll get to see it for the last time.."

A small click was heard, the other instantly taking notice where it came from. It wasn't surprising to them as it was back when they were young. One was always full of surprises while the other just had good hearing. A smile with a chuckle quickly following behind came from the figure as they stared at the object in hand.

A gun.

"It is one misfortunate way to meet you here, but I should've known. And on this date as well. Every second that I'm standing here.. memories from our childhood continue pouring in my mind. I. . . I wish the events looked better before.. but I guess we're both too stubborn to fess up, huh..?" The figure ranted on, a tear now rolling down their cheek as they spoke. At the same time, their arm had begun to tremble even when straining it to stop and focus on the target at large.

As if their arm's trembling was a signal, the other reached for their weapon as well, pulling out a gun, except it was a revolver, pushing the hammer down that made a similar click. "As do I, my similar, as do I. But to be honest, you were the more stubborn one than I was.. even in the present." They countered before adjusting themselves in their well-known position, raising the gun to point at the opposite's heart. "And it's not misfortunate. I believe it's called 'fate'." Their tone was cold, causing the opposite to swear they had goosebumps aside from the wind.

However, satisfaction filled them when seeing the similar's face. They knew saying that word always got them riled up, and it all started to come apart ever since that day.

'Fate' was what they hated. How it rolls off the tongue was the most.. the most irritating feeling known to man. The bittersweet look was replaced with a scowl and therefore aggressively adjusted their arm to point at the other target's heart. They, too, got in a stance in silence. How they hated how cold the other had turned over the years. . . but forget those years. Fuck the memories. Fuck the hard times the two went through. Fuck it all.

Eyes that were so cold and empty.. yet had turned twisted from earlier's events stared into ones that were deemed the angel of the lord and warm while having the feeling of built-up resentment.
