My most serious story yet! Enjoy!

The dog ran. His fears slowly catching up to him. He frighteningly turned a corner, his feet almost sliding. He ran faster, using his arms to vault him over a crate.

He heard the monstrous clomps of his pursuer.

"Oh dogday. I promise I won't hurt you."

The chaser called out in a sing songy voice. He knew it was a lie.
Sweat beaded his forehead as his legs carried him as far as they could. He needed to run... No, he wanted to run. He knew would collapse soon. He was just delaying his inevitable death.

He turned another corner. But his courage slowly fades and slowed to a stop.

A wall.

It blocked him. He had no where to go. No where else to run. He could hear the banging footsteps of the beast approaching. He was done for.....

...

Or was he? He spotted a small hole in the wall he could fit in to if he sucked in his stomach. He wouldn't have to much because he was thin, he hadn't eaten in days.

He got on his knees and started to squeeze himself through the opening.
He could hear a dark voice. "Hello my sweet canine."
I struggled. "Cmon cmon cmon!" Dogday said as he tried to squeeze himself through. His courage faded as he felt a snake like object coil around his waist. His gaze lowered to see that object was the monsters tail. It tugged on him, but he held onto the walls of the entrance to avoid being pulled away.

He held on as long as possible, until he heard a Loud CRACK in his  side. a loud Yelp escaped his mouth as he let go of the wall to prevent any further damage.

By his torso, he was dragged out by the tail and had to stare right in the face of the monster.

"Catnap."

Dogday said disdainfully. The cat looked at him with an evil smile.
His grip around him tightened.
"We're do you think your going?"
Away from you. he had wanted to say. But he didn't want to talk to him.

He forced the dog to look at him.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" He let out a deep laugh.

He stared at him with a look of nothing but anger.
His jaws widened and his teeth clenched around his hand. Catnap yelled in pain before throwing dogday to the ground. Him colliding with the floor so hard it cracks the concrete. He gazed up at him, Catnaps smile fading slowly.

He places his humongous paw on dogdays back, Slowly increasing pressure. He chuckles. "Goodbye, rebel." pressure on my lower torso increases, Until I hear multiple snaps. Screams echo the empty hall, knowing it's the last thing he'll do. blood pooled around him, there's nothing the dog can do now, but close him eyes and wait for the cold hug of death,

                 To embrace him

But it never comes.

I suddenly feel warm, and comfy. I open one of my eyes And gaze around. W-were, am I? It looks like, home? Am I... Dead? Is this,

Heaven?
