The smooth melody floats through the air

Whistling in the wind

The strings roar as they are stroked

My bones rattling to the beat

Smoke rises from the houses as

Fire brings in the boiling pot

My nostrils inflamed from the smell

People fly by like a swarm of bees

Gliding along with the snowflakes

That fall from the dark, dreary sky

Suddenly I stop and watch them

As they stroll by with tired looks in their eyes

I continue to stroke my cello

Now playing the song "Noel"

The number of people passing by has lessened

I watch as they enter their homes and

Climb into their soft, cozy beds

Snuggling up in their blankets

Like a newborn between his folks
