1: encounter

"Ahh kunikida-kun why are you so mean~" Dazai whine

It was a nice peaceful day in Yokohama. People walking around and cars driving around, the city is always busy

Dazai and Kunikida was walking through a crowded area. They were investigating a case, Kunikida didn't want to team up with Dazai but he had no choice because all of the other ADA members are busy and some are out of the office that time

Dazai also didn't want to come but since it's Dazai and he was bored so he just tag along to amuse his boredom by annoying Kunikida

"Hey~ Kunikida-kun, where are we going!" Dazai whines once again. He's been asking that question since they went outside, it almost pushed Kunikida to his limit. But he can't smack Dazai right now because it was so crowded

He tried to keep calm but the vein that appeared on his forehead was almost gonna pop

"First, you ruined my day by wasting my time earlier, second, I got paired up with you, and next you keep bugging me about this!" Kunikida hissed at Dazai

"What did you say?" Dazai jokingly said "it's so crowded here I can't hear you, you see~"

Kunikida was finally done with Dazai. He grabbed Dazai's wrist and dragged him in an alley way

"Ah~ Kunikida-kun, I know I'm handsome but please, refrain from flirting with your coworkers. It leaves a bad impression on you" Dazai dramatically said turning his head to his side with the back of his palm on his forehead as if he is a damsel in distress

"Oh that's it's"

Ouch! You didn't have to hit me that hard!" Dazai whined

"That's what you get"

The both of them are now walking in the alley way to avoid the crowd on the sidewalk. Though it is even more dangerous, it's nothing compared to the criminals they fought before

While they were walking, they saw a small child walking towards them

"Huh? A kid? What's a kid doing here?" Kunikida was confused. Alley's are dangerous, it is always filled with criminals

"Hey kid! What are you doing here?"

The kid stares at the two tall man for a few seconds before asking "Who are you?"

Kunikida couldn't see the kids face properly because it was beginning to get dark

"Huh? We're suppose to ask you that, not the other way around"

"So you're telling me that I should trust a stranger who are older than me, taller than me, and stronger than me?"

"Look, kid, we're from the detective armed detective agency and we work with the police. enough about us, what is a kid doing here in the alley filled with criminals" Kunikida shows his ID to the kid

"Why I am here is none of your concern, I'm sure you're busy so you can go now instead of wasting your time with a deadmeat useless kids like me. You're probably in a mission that's why you're both here so goodluck, I hope you get fine the answer to your case" the child just casually walked passes Kunikida and Dazai

"Heyyy~" Dazai shouts at the kid grabbing his attention

"It's pretty dark, where are your parents?" The child turned around and saw the tall, brunette, covered with bandage all over his body man waving his hands up. Catching up with the child

The child saw his face because there was a light infront of Dazai lighting up his face. On the other hand, since the child was facing at Dazai, there was a shadow cast upon the child's face making Dazai unable to recognize his face

But Dazai can see his hair, he was for sure a boy, he had short black-ish hair and he was short (duh)

"My parents? They're not here" the child answered before turning around again and continued to walk

"What are you doing, Dazai? It's late, let's go back"

"Fine, Dazai grabbed the child before going back "h-hey! You're kidnapping me! Let go!" The child growled at Dazai

"Didn't you say that your parents are not here, and besides it's night, we can't let out kids and citizens to get just, it's out job to protect" Dazai said

"I won't go with yo-" GROWL~ the child's stomach growled, it appears to be that the child is hungry

"My mom told me to not trust strangers you know" the child repeated his words

"Fine it can't be helped, my name's Dazai Osamu and that person behind me is my assistant, Doppo Kuniki-" Kunikida sprinted towards Dazai hitting the back of his head

"Who said I was your assistant!?" The man hit Dazai's head again

"Hey! You hit me twice!"

Dazai pauses for a awhile staring at the unamused child that was infront of them watching them as if they were a married couple quarrelling in a middle of a divorce on whoever takes custody

"If you have nothing to say then I'm leaving" before the kid could start walking again Dazai stopped him

"Sorry kid, but you have to come with us"
