"Ziv!"
I turned to look at Kian and at my wrist next to check the time. Only to see 5:45am. I sighed.
"Ssh! Ang aga aga pa, Kian. Yang bunganga mo talaga walang pinipiling lugar" She only shrugged her shoulders, not minding my nagging early in the morning.
She tagged along as I walked my way to school. Despite our financial status, me and Kian were able to attend a prestigious school.
Accelerated Academy. People here have lived with golden spoons. In short, THEY ARE FILTHY RICH! But this is not just a regular prestigious school na kung may pera ka makakapasok ka agad. You have to be brilliant and smart before you can enter this school.
As for us, we secured a free pass because me and Kian were recognized as gifted students at an early age. Kian invented a device to know an infant's emotion. She is also blessed with rhythm kaya, another free pass niya ang pagiging member ng theater. And me? I was featured in TVs and a lot of magazines as the young kid who mastered Calculus at the age of 10. Kaya naman, nirecruit na ako ng academy noong 10 years old ako and they have been monitoring my growth ever since. I excel in both math and computers. Gifted rin ako pagdating sa sports. I don't know why I was so blessed with multiple intelligences pero this came in handy for my future. I am a member of our school's women's basketball team and have been a sub member of our football team.
Coach Fil, coach of the football team, is overly interested in recruiting me and even offered a huge sum for me to transfer sports but Coach Nikko heard about it and offered me double. And you already know what I chose.
"How's your Language exam yesterday?" she asked
"I flunked as always"
We may be genius in the things we are gifted with but there is always one thing that worries our dear scholarship.
"Me too. Anyways, bawi na lang tayo sa ibang subjects. It will eventually raise our average grade for sure."
"Or we can just read?" I said
"Yes, pwede naman pero ayoko lang"
We swiped our IDs immediately as we entered the school. Accelerated Academy actually has villas inside but only for those KIDS. Well, if you know what I mean.
So far, there are only seven who were able to secure a spot and they are called the Heptad. For two long years of staying here, I only saw them a few times. And mind you! Those were the most scary moments of my life! I want nothing from them and the least that I want is to set foot in their circle. I don't want my last two years in this academy to be chaotic and full of dramas.
"Omg! Hi Fret!" we heard a high-pitched voice mentioning Fret Jonas Sevilla. One of the Heptad. Son of Hector and Maryleight Sevilla, owner of an entertainment industry in Seoul. Fret is literally an idol based on his looks but yeah, of course, hindi siya pang idol material lang. He is boss material. Rumors says that siya mismo ang nagrerecruite ng mga potential idols all over the world. He travels every now and then to find hidden talents.
Kian and I went 90 degrees to avoid getting passed by Fret. As I've said, pinakahuling kagustuhan namin ay ang makasalamuha o magkaroon ng direct contact sa isa sa mga Heptad.
They are dangerous people.
They are so powerful that the poor cannot withstand even in the name of justice.
