(3RD PERSON POV)

Light glass bells were ringing quietly in the back of Nermia, a ward in Tokyo..

A young girl with (h/c) hair in a dark (f/c) dress ran from the entrance of a funeral parlor.

She shakingly ran down the sidewalk as quickly as her feet would take her, a wave of grief and exhaustion washing over her.

As she ran, the world around her became a blur of colors and shapes, each tree and building melding together. Within no time, she arrived at the nearby park and stumbled onto a bench, out of breath from the adrenaline and the lack of sleep from the past few days.

The air was cool and sharp. There were trees surrounding the park, each one bearing its own shade of green, casting an array of shadows upon the ground. As the girl sat on the bench, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

Looking up with tears in her eyes she came face to face with a young boy around her age, "Hey, are you okay?" he asked.

The boy had pushed up black hair that resembled a rooster, dark brown eyes and a questioning face. Behind him was another boy but went unnoticed.

(Y/N POV)

My thoughts were racing, my heart heavy with guilt. I sat there in silence, my eyes fixed on him, yet my mind was lost in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. His mouth was moving, but honestly I couldn't hear his words as they were blocked by my thoughts.

'It wasn't supposed to happen. If only I had said something or stopped her, and she would still be here with us.' The weight of it all was drowning me.

My sister, her name was Hana.

Feeling a dull throbbing sensation through my head as sounds started to flood back to me.
Sunlight was illuminating the boys' faces that hovered above me.

I took a moment to take in their concerned expressions, their furrowed brows and worried frowns. Though they said nothing, their eyes alone spoke of their concern for me. They remained silent, waiting for me to fully gather my thoughts.

I nodded slightly, gesturing that I was alright. Their expressions softened slightly, but their concern remained. "I-" I managed to croak out, my voice rough and hoarse.

Before I could form a sentence, a calling of my name was heard.

"Y/N!" an older lady called out from the entrance of the park.

"Y/N! Where are you?!" She called out again.

I slowly got up from the bench, I took a moment to compose myself before turning back to the two boys. With a small sigh, I dipped my head in a slight bow, signifying my gratitude and apology.

As I straightened up, I caught a glimpse of the boys' faces, their expressions a mix of relief and concern. Without a word, I gave them a small smile before turning away and heading towards the calling voice in the distance.
