Kate Kelly's POV:

Kate sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the photograph clutched in her hand.

It was an old photo of her and Michael, taken during happier times.

They were smiling, their arms wrapped around each other, oblivious to the dark turn their relationship would eventually take.
The memory of his touch, once warm and loving, now made her shiver with revulsion.

Her heart ached with the remnants of a past that refused to let go, despite her desperate attempts to move forward.Michael had been everything she thought she wanted-charming, confident, and seemingly caring.

Their relationship had started with laughter and tender moments, but it didn't take long for his true nature to surface.
Verbal disagreements became frequent, his words cutting deep, undermining her self-esteem.

The first time he hit her, she was too shocked to react. She convinced herself it was a one-time mistake, but it happened again. And again.

The bruises on her body were easy to hide, but the emotional scars were another story.Breaking free from Michael was the hardest thing she'd ever done.

The final straw had been his betrayal. Discovering his infidelity shattered what little remained of her trust in him.

She remembered the day she found out, the confrontation, the shouting, the physical fight that ensued. She had fought back with a strength she didn't know she possessed, packed her bags, and left. Now, she was trying to rebuild her life. It wasn't easy.

Her savings were dwindling, and finding a new job was proving difficult. But she was determined to move forward, to create a future where she was in control.

Scrolling through job listings one afternoon, she came across a position that seemed promising-a live-in nanny for a wealthy family. The job offered stability and a chance to escape her current circumstances.

Kate took a deep breath and dialed the number. After a brief conversation, she secured an interview for the next morning. As she prepared, she felt a mix of anxiety and hope. This could be the fresh start she needed. The following morning, she stood outside the grand mansion where the interview was to take place. It was a sprawling estate, the kind she'd only seen in movies.

Her heart pounded as she approached the massive wooden doors and rang the bell.
A butler answered, his demeanor formal and somewhat intimidating.

"Good morning, Ms. Kelly. Mr. Anderson is expecting you," he said, leading her through the opulent hallways.

The interior of the mansion was even more impressive, with high ceilings, luxurious furnishings, and an air of old-world elegance.

Kate was ushered into a study where Jake awaited. He was nothing like she had imagined.
Tall, with a commanding presence and an aura of danger, he exuded an air of authority that made her feel small and vulnerable. His piercing gaze assessed her with an intensity that made her want to look away, but she forced herself to meet his eyes.

"Ms. Kelly," he began, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine.

"Why do you think you're suited for this job?"Kate swallowed hard, trying to steady her nerves.
