Yashraj

The sound of people murmuring woke me up. I looked beside me to find the side empty. it was just seven in the morning, where did Meera go early in the morning? Putting on a t-shirt, I completed my morning business but still, there was no sign of Meera. As I made my way to the living room, I was left astonished at the sight before me. The lady whom Meera had introduced to me as Inayat. She looked frail, an IV drip was attached to her right hand as she rested on the recliner.

Her little ball of sunshine, Anairah, looked pale too with a concussion on her forehead. Mr. Awasthi was sitting beside her with his head drooped low in his palms. Meera was still nowhere to be seen, what the actual fuck is going on?

I cleared my throat, and as a result, Randheer uncle lifted his eyes to meet mine. The other two noticed me but couldn't move from their spots. Randheer uncle walked up to me, his eyes were tired and distressed.

" We need to take swift action, Meera's in danger," he announced weakly making me frown. As he narrated the entire fiasco, the ground slipped from beneath my feet. She went all alone, how could she? What if something happens to her? God, No.

I got ready as fast as I could and we made our way to the warehouse leaving Inayat and Anairah under Maria's care. I can't describe in words how I feel right now. But, there's one thing I know we can't take any action impulsively, that'll cause more harm than good. As we reached the warehouse, it'd already been hours since Meera would have been in that bastard's clutches. I just hope for her to be okay, safe, and sound. I pray to god to bestow her with the strength she needs.

" Don't worry m'lady, just be strong for me, for just a bit and I'll be there, for you and by your side."

Randheer uncle began his work with the cyber team while I and Khushi began planning our entry into his territory. The team of people and weapons were all done but just the moment we were about to move further, the door burst open and a lady dressed in all black barged in.

Upon removing her mask, she moved towards the desktop screen. Wait, I know her, She's Yukti Kapoor, the architect. What's she doing here? Oh, Meera had already told me about her being involved in this which, I don't know how. That's her story to tell and honestly, there's nothing I want to focus more on than Meera.

"Shit, Arjun's server is partially untraceable. It's moving out of the city but I don't know where." She groaned.

"Maybe you can do something, Hukum. Meera must've left a clue at home, look for it." She suggested.

I was quick to call Maria and ask her if she finds anything. About ten minutes later, she called saying she'd found a note in the drawer of my side table. She sent a picture.

" You'll be able to find me if you remember the first time my husband knelt before me."

That must have to mean something, what was the first tike, I knelt before her? Yukti asked the same, sveryone was eyeing me in wait for me to remember.

Oh, yeah when I made her wear the bichiya (toe rings), that was the forst time I knelt nefore her as her husband. I voiced out the same. What could a piece of jewelry be doing to help me find her?

"It might have a tracker, that's why she'd have hinted at her toe rings." Yukti suggested.

A ray of hope bloomed for all of us and our hearts beating in anticipation as the cyber team began working their way in order to track her.

After the thirty minutes that were hell, they were able to access the tracker and we found it to be air-borne. It was near Gujarat borders. I knew it, he'd want to harm her family. The worst thing here, was that we'd have to wait for his chopper to land wherever it does.

I did the first sane thimg that came to me, called both our families letting them know about the entire fiasco since morning. Our family had eventually come to know about her life and they were nothing but proud of her.

It's been more than twelve hours now that Meera would've been in his clutches.

"Please Rani Sa, hold on for me, hold onto your life and mine."

An exasperated sigh made it past my lips when the chopper landed in Ahmedabad. We boarded the jet as fast as we could and jetted off to Ahmedabad. The one and half hour journey was a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least.

Baba Sa and Baba both have been trying their level best to include authorities who have been involved in his cases over the years.

From the airport itself, Shefali escorted us to the warehouse that Meera owns here in Ahmedabad. Baba, Shaurya and Advika were already waiting for us. Advika and Shefali took charge and began tracing Meera's location.

We found her location about an hour away from Ahmedabad in a rural area and drove towards the place. Baba, Shaurya, Randheer uncle, Shefali, Yukti and me. Advika was at the warehouse in case things go wrong there. To my surprise, one more car followed us. Abhi, Jai and Baba Sa were here too.

Parking our cars down the lane from the place, the guards out there were efficiently taken down by Yukti. She kicked the door open and we found the place empty. Upon searching every nook and cranny, reaching the last corner, the sight nefore me clenched my heart.

Meera was tied to a pillar with chains, her entire body was covered in blood, clothes were bloodied and her eyes were shut closed.

"M-Meera." I called, slowly kneeling beside her freeing her from the restrains.

"R-Rana Sa" She stuttered.

"I'm here-, before I could say anything else, a gunshot boomed through the place followed by seven more. I looked behind me to find Yukti standing amid a pile of dead bodies and Arjun holding a gun against Baba.

"You were my doom, Uday and I 'll be yours, teri beti toh bachegi nahin, toh tum kya karoge bach ke." He seethed. Fury coursed through my veins and I shot directly at his knee making him stumble to the ground.

"Don't Rana Sa, don't kill him. I'd promised Meera to have him at her feet, let's take Meera to the hospital and we'll take care of him later." Yukti suggested as she tied Arjun to a pillar. We moved back to Meera. Her pulse was alarmingly slow making my eyes blur with tears. I picked her up in my arms and we advanced towards the nearest hospital.

"Meera, please try to keep your eyes open."
I implored, my voice trembling with emotion.

"I-c... can't Rana Sa, I...I quit." She breathed heavily.

"NO, Never Meera, t-talk to me, please." I screamed.

"H-Humein k-kabhi bhul m-mat jaiyega." She spoke weakly and then, her hand fell from my hold.

MEERAAAA...
