A few days later, Adam, Romelle and the Paladins gathered in the central command chamber, where the data regarding Voltron's energy fluctuations was to be presented.

Hunk and Pidge, with their expertise in technology and analysis, took the lead in explaining the findings to everyone present.

"As you can see," Pidge began, gesturing to the holographic display of the data, "there have been significant energy spikes within Voltron's systems."

Hunk chimed in, "These spikes coincide with moments of heightened emotional resonance among the Paladins and fluctuations in the bond frequencies of the lions."

Allura, standing at the forefront with Shiro and the other Paladins, looked intrigued. "What could be causing these fluctuations?"

Romelle stepped forward as she had done her own ivestigating with Adams help, her expression grave yet determined. "Based on our analysis, there's a pattern emerging that suggests an external energy source is resonating with Voltron."

The room fell silent as the implications of their words sank in. Keith glanced around, sensing the curiosity and concern among the Paladins.

"This is intriguing," Allura remarked, studying the holographic display. "But what could be causing this resonance?"

Romelle stepped forward, her voice filled with conviction. "It could indicate an external influence on Voltron's systems."

Shiro's expression darkened. "Why wasn't this information shared with us sooner? We have the right to know if there's a potential threat. Expecially since we ARE voltron!"

Adam spoke up, his tone earnest as he locked eyes with his mate. "We understand your concerns. We needed concrete evidence before alarming everyone."

Keith, standing beside Romelle and Adam, took a deep breath. "We kept this possibility to ourselves to avoid unnecessary panic. Now, we have substantial evidence of something resonating with Voltron."

The other Paladins, except for Keith, voiced their frustration at being kept in the dark.

Romelle, Adam, remained resolute, presenting all the evidence—the energy fluctuations, the resonance within Voltron, and its potential implications—as they tried to explain their reasoning without revealing the specifics.

Without revealing the possibility Lance may still be alive.

As the heated discussion continued, Romelle held up a holographic projection that showcased the intricate details of the data.

"We didn't mean to withhold information, but we had to be sure before sharing such a discovery."

Adam added, "Our priority has always been to protect the team and the Pride whislt ensuring we have accurate information. Now that we have substantial evidence, we must focus on understanding the source of this resonance."

After the tense discussion about the mysterious resonance within Voltron, Keith took a moment to gather his thoughts.

He approached Romelle and Adam, a sense of remorse weighing heavily on him.

"I'm sorry, Romelle, Adam," Keith said quietly, his eyes reflecting genuine regret.

He paused "We have to tell them about Lance"

Romelle and Adam exchanged a look of understanding, their expressions softening.

"It's okay, Keith," Romelle replied, her tone gentle. "We all have the same goal—to protect the team and uncover the truth."

Adam nodded in agreement. "Now, let us explain what we've discovered about the resonance within Voltron."

As the Paladins listened intently slightly suprised off this extra information, Romelle began,

"We believe that the source of the resonance is tied to a powerful entity that still holds influence over Voltron. This entity is none other than the blue lion."

Surprised murmurs rippled through the room as Romelle continued,

"Despite his apparent absence, Lance's presence can still be sensed in the pride bonds. He is technically still Alpha, which is why the issues with the pride have been escalating."

Allura frowned in concern and sadness. "But how is that possible? Lance sacrificed himself for us."

Adam stepped forward, his expression grave yet determined. "The bond between Pride mates and this goes for Lance and the Volrton lions too is a powerful force, one that transcends even death. Lance's connection to Voltron, the Pride and the team is undeniable, and it's causing these energy fluctuations and resonance within the lions."

"Let me get this straight." Allura started eyes tearing up. "My brother, could still be alive and you have known for how long?" She snapped turning to look at her mate anger burning in her eyes.

"Lura, we-" Romelle started

"NO ROMELLE. YOU ARE MY MATE! THERE IS NO SECRETS!" Allura yelled hands forming fists.

"You with held information about my brother...WHO I GREIVED FOR AND HE MAY NOT EVEN BE DEAD!" Allura sobbed turning and hugging Shiro.

"Why didn't our lions tell us" Hunk asked tearing up too.

Keith looked away, that question had been on his mind too.

Flashback

After returning to the planet where Lance had made a home, Keith found himself sitting inside the cockpit of the Red Lion.

The memories of their time together on this planet flooded his mind, intensifying the ache of losing his beloved mate.

As Keith sat there, lost in his thoughts, the Red Lion seemed to sense his sorrow.

Its presence, usually fierce and resolute in battle, softened around Keith, wrapping him in a comforting embrace of warmth and understanding.

"Keith..." The gentle rumble of the lion's purr seemed to echoed in Keith's mind, a wordless reassurance that he was not alone in his grief.

Tears welled up in Keith's eyes as he reached out to touch the controls, feeling the familiar hum of the lion's energy beneath his fingertips.

"I miss him so much, Red," Keith whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.

The Red Lion responded with a deep, rumbling purr, a manifestation of its bond with Keith and its acknowledgment of their shared loss.

It was as if the lion was offering Keith its silent support, understanding the depth of his pain as only a bonded partner could.

In that quiet moment, surrounded by the comforting presence of the Red Lion, Keith felt a glimmer of hope amidst the sorrow.

He knew that Lance's spirit lived on in their memories and in the bonds they shared, including the unbreakable connection between Keith and the Red Lion.

With renewed strength and determination, Keith wiped away his tears and straightened up in the cockpit.

"Thank you, Red," he said softly, a sense of gratitude filling his heart. "We'll carry on, for him and for the universe he loved so much he died for."

The Red Lion rumbled in response, its support and solidarity unwavering as they prepared to face the challenges ahead, drawing strength from their bond and the memories of their mates who would forever remain in their hearts.
