As I run through the field, I let my hands drag through the meadow flowers and long grass. The fresh air rushing around my face making my hair dance. I lie down , letting nature consume me. I lift my hand into the air and watch as my fingers cast a silhouette against the sun. I wiggle my toes and close my eyes letting my hands fall to the ground. The sun washes over me and I fall into a deep sleep...
'Luke! hunni wake up you have appointment today!' My eyes flicker open and I remember who I am. I am Luke Hemmings. 24. Schizophrenic. Lonley.
'Luke, come on!' That is layla my carer. She is 23, a year younger than me but she is fully trained. I mumble incoherently and roll over in my bed, smushing my face into the pillow. I hear her walk in and sigh. 'Luke we have to go come on we'll be late soon,' 'mnughn' then i feel cool air rush over my body as the covers are whipped of me. I rub my eyes and drag myself up in time to see layla's ponytail swishing out the door. I get up and pull on my ripped skinny jeans, a NIRVANA shirt and a black beanie before slipping on some band bracelets and my black vans. I grab my phone from the charging dock and slip it into my back pocket. I run downstairs to grab a pop tart before slipping out the back door running to Layla's car and hopping in.
'Took you long enough,' she mumbles quietly and i smile widely at her.' Woah some ones in a good mood today!' she laughs and starts the car Switching on the radio. The song all apologies by NIRVANA comes on and i laugh looking down at my top. Then as soon as it started my happy mood swings into miserable and i sigh looking out of the window as we set off on our way to the hospital.
