Alana walked quietly along the outskirts of the familiar town, careful to avoid being recognized by anyone still out and about. She observed a few people making their way home for the evening, their figures fading into the dusk.

As she approached a large building, Alana tilted her head, noticing the increased presence of sentinels. It seemed that the high powers were preparing for something; there weren't as many guards around before she left.

Alana lingered in the shadows of a nearby building, studying the high powers' residence. She contemplated the best way to infiltrate and eliminate them. A surge of anger welled up inside her as she thought about their wrongdoing and their undeserved lavish lifestyle. In her eyes, they deserved nothing at all..

Standing in the shadows, Alana seethed with thoughts of retribution. Anger surged through her, intensifying the chill that enveloped her body. The familiar sensation felt more potent than ever before. Her narrowed eyes burned with a fierce desire for revenge

A strange sensation washed over Alana, and she looked down at herself in surprise. The chill that covered her body was not just a feeling—it was the darkness itself. She could see her form, still visible, but it seemed as though it was blending in with the shadows, becoming one with the darkness itself. Alana smiled, a sense of empowerment surging through her as she looked up at the building.

With newfound confidence, Alana stepped within the shadows, her form now seemingly cloaked in darkness. She moved with purpose, her every step silent and deliberate.

Alana moved in the shadows and towards the building, standing closer and ready to make her move. She waited for a moment when the guards were distracted, using her new skill in stealth. She moved silently, sticking to the shadows and avoiding detection.

As she neared the entrance, Alana saw an opportunity. A guard had momentarily stepped away from his post, leaving the door unguarded. Seizing the moment, she slipped inside and found herself in a familiar dimly lit entryway.

Alana's smile widened as she stepped into the building, her determination unwavering. She followed the hallway that led to the room where the high powers made their decisions, but as she approached, she noticed that the doors were open and the room was empty. Alana's eyes narrowed in frustration, but she quickly turned around, determined to find them.

Moving from room to room, Alana cleared the first floor, her steps purposeful and silent. She sighed in frustration as she found no trace of the high powers. With a determined resolve, she ascended the stairs to the next floor, her mind focused on her mission.

Methodically, Alana opened doors and peered into each room as she ascended the stairs. The cold chill of darkness crept over her skin, eliciting a subtle smile. Its presence reaffirmed her purpose, strengthening her resolve

Continuing her search, Alana opened doors and surveyed the rooms. She found that some contained bags and clothes thrown about, a sign of recent activity that raised her brow. However, as she approached one particular door, a shiver ran down her spine. Alana narrowed her eyes, sensing an uncomfortable presence from within. She opened the door slowly and scanned the room but found nothing amiss at first glance.

Suddenly, the darkness in the room began to shake, sending waves of chills down her spine. Alana felt a sense of unease creeping over her. Just then, a loud scream pierced the air from behind her, causing her to turn and face the hallway. Closing the door behind her, Alana moved towards the source of the screaming, her senses on high alert.

Alana turned and walked purposefully towards a set of wide double doors, where she could hear talking and whispering from behind. She extended her senses, pushing the darkness under the door to gain a glimpse of what was happening inside. She felt the darkness protest slightly before melding into the shadows beyond.
