Huening Kai wasn't really the type to have a lot of friends. He only knew 7 people in his school—which had about more than a thousand students. So joining those said friends in a music festival wasn't really a good thing. They had already disappeared and went to their own other friends, leaving Kai alone. There was a random K-Pop band performing which he had heard kids talk about. He also heard their songs in shops around his place but he really did not pay any attention. Now he is being squished around in a crowd and all he wanted was to leave.
"Please be my eternity, please call my name. Run away, run away, run away with me."
Kai was enjoying the music and bobbing his head until—
"I'm so sorry!"
The boy that had accidentally tripped him helped him to get back om his feet. "I am so sorry, I was walking around and suddenly someone started dancing and pushed me and I accidentally hit y—"
"It's okay! Everybody is just dancing around here."
Kai laughed at worried boy in front of him. The boy smiled—showcasing his deep dimples. "It's really stuffy in here gosh!" The boy commented."On the dark night at the bottom of the stairs. The magic begun once I saw you."
"Do you... Want to run away?"
The boys squeezed themselves out of the crowd into the open field next to it. They sat down on the grass and laughed to each other. They stared at each others smile and they felt the world stop.
"At the worlds end, forever together. Run away baby, give me an answer."
"Ah, I'm Soobin!" The dimpled boy introduced himself. "Hi, Soobin. I'm Huening Kai. Call me Kai." They smiled at each other and stood up.
"Do you study here?" The dimpled boy then nodded.
"What course?"
"Psychology."
"Woah! How? I mean, isn't that like kinda hard?"
"Not really."
"Okay, Soobin! Not really!!!" Kai exaggerated. Soobin laughed and they started talking about their life.
"No way, you're graduating next year? I still have two whole years left." Kai frowned and laid in the grass. "You'll be fine." Soobin said with a chuckle. "What made you want to teach kids anyway?"
Huening Kai smiled while staring at the sky, he turned be to Soobin and answered.
"I'm not the type to be sociable. I tend to be alone a lot, yet I find kids very understanding. Kids seem to be more careless of the world, like they're unaware of the cruelties. I want to be with them through that. Just experiencing their youth, you know?"
"Was life hard for you, Kai?"
"I mean I had to move countries a lot, I never really had a place called home until I turned 12. My parents got a divorce when I was so young. And being stuck as a middle child isn't exactly the best. The older sister goes on her own way after finding out what she wants. The youngest enjoying her life, enjoying the fact that it feels like she has all the time in the world. And there's me."
Kai takes a deep breath. Soobin stares at him seeing the small shine in his eyes—he's crying.
"I don't really know where to go, I haven't found myself yet. I have so much to learn yet I already know so much. I'm already 21, yet I still feel like I'm 12. I want to help my family with their struggles yet I also want to be helped." His tears started flowing down as he talked.
