The bittersweet goodbye

The Call Of Destiny

3 years before actually debuting. (Anton's POV)

I had just settled into my favourite spot by the window, the soft glow of the setting sun casting warm hues across the living room, when my phone buzzed. with a curious glance, i reached over and picked it up, expecting a text from serena or a notification from a new game release. what i didn't expect was the life-altering news that awaited me on the other end of the line. 

"Hello?" i answered, my voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of apprehension. who could be calling me at this hour ?

"Hello, is this Anton Lee?" a smooth professional voice asked at the other end of the line. 

I paused, momentarily taken aback "yes this is Anton, speaking?"

"Yes hello we are calling from SM ENTERTAINMENT." The voice replied, causing my heart to skip a beat. SM Entertainment..? the renowned entertainment company. my mind raced as i tried to process what was happening. could someone be playing a prank on me?

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before (I assume who was the CEO) spoke again her tone calm and assured "Mr Lee, i am pleased to inform you that after careful consideration, we would like to offer you a position as a trainee with SM Entertainment." 

my heart leaped into my throat, and I felt a rush of emotion wash over me, Disbelief, excitement, gratitude all tangled together in a jumple of sensation. me? a trainee at SM entertainment? it was a dream come true, too sureal to be happening to someone like me. 

"We were impressed by your audition and believe you have potential to be a great artist, we'd like to invite you to come in for further discussion and to sign your contract."

"Thank you so so much I-I honestly don't what to say."

"There's no need to thank us, you earned this opportunity with your talent and hard work, we look forward to seeing you."

as i hung up the phone, a wave of excited washed over me, mingled with a healthy dose of nerves. after all, this was a call of destiny, and i was ready to answer. i couldn't wait but to share the new with serena cause after all, i wouldn't have been able to do any of this if it wasn't for her.
