Henry and the War Against Worlds

The massacre at Brendam, November 12th, 2004

7:45 AM

Henry finally spoke up about an hour ago. He seemed dazed and confused but he seemed to have been focused on something else. I tired asking if he was alright, but he never gave me an answer. He asked me if Harry was okay and I told him that he was out cold still. Hopefully he'll wake up soon he's starting to worry me. Henry began to grow irritated as he questioned why the others left us and where they were to help. The only thing I could tell him was that they would be back. They wouldn't just leave us here, would they?

9:34 AM

I've been trying to think of a way to move the breakdown train closer so I could get Henry back on the rails, but I still got nothing. To be honest I'm not sure that plan would've worked at all thanks to Toby's remains. We've sat here all night and no one has come to help. Harry also woke up about half an hour ago and decided to search the town for a car which he thankfully found. He decided to drive to Wellsworth hoping to find the others so hopefully he'll be back soon.

10:48 AM

They're back! God you wouldn't believe how happy I was to see Boco and Donald. Although I can't say the same about Henry, he was as pissed as one could get. As soon as he saw the he yelled at them telling them they were a bunch of cowards for just leaving him. Donald defended their actions, but Boco was remorseful and just stayed silent. They quickly got to work attaching as many ropes to Henry as they could. Once we finally get Henry on the line we're going to head to Wellsworth. Apparently something happened while we were gone so hopefully we won't be long.

12:14 PM

We pulled into Wellsworth and found it in ruin. Rosie, or what was left of her, was thrown off the rails, Molly laid silently on her side, the shed had been crushed while James, Percy, Neville, and Emily were hiding in the goods shed, apparently while we were gone they were attacked by a tripod, it proceeded to grab Rosie and lift her off the rails. Molly ran to her aid, but was meant with a tripod leg being sent into her side, crushing her boiler. It then took a swing at the shed taking it down, crushing Oliver beneath. Just it went to finish off the remaking engines and people, several sirens blared from Brendam. This was enough for it to forget about the remaining people and went off to Brendam. Sadly before leaving it grabbed Mavis and took her away towards Brendam. We felt awful for what they went through and we all just sat in silence debating on what to do next.

12:58 PM

We've gained so much information I don't know how to process it all. As we sat around Emily gave us her story. She said she was on her way to Crovan's Gate with a goods train. She stopped at a signal at the Kirk Ronan branch when she saw a tripod rise from the direction of Wellsworth. Just as this happened Gordon thundered by with the express yelling for her to run! She made a run all the way to the works where she met with Peter Sam and Freddie. They stuck together for a few days, but Emily was forced to run when Duncan raced through with a tripod hot on his tail. That was when she met up with us. Once she finished Henry finally opened up and what he told us shook us to the bone. He said that he had a dream of him at Crewe during his rebuild, however instead of looking off towards a wall or further into the works, he instead found himself staring at himself. His old self. He was covered in dents and a massive gash in the boiler was visible and the firebox was sloped downwards just like Gordon's

"I've always had a sneaking suspicion I wasn't your original Henry. I just didn't want to believe it." He finished quietly.

We all just stared at Henry in utter disbelief. It was so much to take in at the time. I don't know what to think right now.

After so much thought we decided enough was enough. We're going to Brendam. We have to find Edward, Dougals and whoever may be left down there. Here's a list of engines we have left
