Jennie instructed her bodyguard and chauffeur, Tong Yu, to drive her from the hospital to the Lee family's villa. At the same time, she requested Lisa to arrange for more than twenty bodyguards to accompany her.
When she arrived at the Lee family's entrance, the bodyguard watching the gates refused to let her in.
"I am Jennie Kim. I have a meeting with Director Lee. Open the gates!" Jennie lowered the window and said.
The bodyguard hesitated for a moment. "But..." The director's granddaughter herself had instructed him not to allow Jennie into the Lee family's mansion.
"Didn't your Director Lee instruct you that regardless of the time, you are not allowed to stop me from entering the Lee family's villa?" For the sake of Lee Jingyuan's safety, Jennie had requested he give this instruction to all the Lee family's bodyguards.
"He did." The bodyguard immediately gave in. "Please go ahead."
Jennie led an army of cars into the Lee family's front yard and stopped right before the door.
Jennie instructed the moment she alighted. "Immediately begin looking for Director Lee!"
"Yes, Madam."
A group of bodyguards rushed into the Lee family's villa's living room. A middle-aged man led a group of male servants to stop them. "Who are you? Who gave you the courage to enter the Lee family's home!"
Jennie's expression was cold as she stated. "I am Jennie Kim. I came to look for Director Lee!"
"So it's Miss Kim." The middle-aged man introduced himself. "I am this mansion's butler, Gong Hua."
"Didn't Director Lee inform you all that I am to be treated as a VIP guest?"
"He did..." Gong Hua nodded with some hesitation.
"In that case, you will inform Director Lee to meet me immediately."
"The Director is currently resting. No one is allowed to disturb him." Guo Hua's attitude was a little firm.
However, Jennie noticed a hint of poorly concealed anxiety in his gaze. She did not waste her breath on him. She waved her hand and her bodyguards immediately took down the Lee family's servants. Then they charged upstairs to search for him.
All of a sudden, Jennie felt a hint of danger suffocating her. She felt sincerely worried for Lee Jingyuan's safety.
She felt that if she was even half a minute late, he would be in danger.
Thus, she brought her phone out and immediately dialed Somi's number.
In a certain bedroom on the third floor of the Lee family's mansion, Lee Jingyuan laid unconscious on the bed. There was an open wound on his forehead and the bed was covered in blood.
Somi held a cup in her hands. She dissolved a tablet in it and spoke viciously. "You stupid old man. You tell me, you already have one foot in the grave, what's the point in holding so tightly onto the Lee family's inheritance? Who asked you to guard against me as though I'm a thief! Once you eat this, you'll die in your dreams. Don't worry, I'll definitely inherit the great Lee family which has a hundred years of history."
She pinched Lee Jingyuan's chin and was about to feed him the water in the cup.
All of a sudden, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and saw that it was actually a call from Jennie!
Although she had saved that Kim woman's phone number, the two of them had a poor relationship and rarely interacted with each other. Why would she suddenly call her?
She hesitated to answer when suddenly, she heard a flurry of footsteps heading up the stairs. It was clear that a crowd had come to charge into the Lee home.
She understood the situation and immediately stood up to head into the washroom. She poured the water in her cup into the toilet bowl and washed it clean in the sink.
She then returned to her bed and picked up a handkerchief to press it against Lee Jingyuan's bleeding wound.
Jennie hurried up the stairs and heard a phone ring from one of the rooms. She immediately brought her bodyguards to kick the door.
With a loud noise, the door was kicked open. Somi stood up in fright. When she saw who it was, she immediately raised her voice in rage. "Jennie, you actually brought so many people to trespass into someone else's home!"
