Seeing this, Jennie said, "Since Somi has made such a serious vow, let's not lock her up."
Chongshan was in the midst of hesitating. When he heard this, he nodded. "Alright then. In any case, Old Lee will wake up within three to five days. When he wakes up, it will be clear whether or not Somi tried to murder him."
His sharp gaze landed on Somi. "I'll believe in you for the time being. Spend more time with Old Lee. After all, he is your last living relative in this world."
"Thank you, Grandfather!" Somi was deeply moved and immediately kowtowed towards him.
Chongshan's expression was heavy when he stated. "You should be thanking your cousin-in-law. She was the one who spoke up for you. I'm only listening to her intentions."
Somi smiled gratefully towards Jennie. "Thank you, Cousin-in-law."
Although she said so on the surface, internally, she mocked Jennie for being useless trash. Jennie's soft heart would only give her the opportunity to send her into hell."
Jennie naturally understood that Somi was planning something again. Locking her up would make it difficult for this brat to get up to her mischief.
Lee Jingyuan would awaken within three to five days and Somi definitely would not allow him to wake up. In other words, she would do something within this time period.
Hence, Jennie was ready to catch her in the act.
Chongshan stood outside the intensive care unit for a while. Soon, he left with Huang Zhishu.
Jennie took in the sight of Lee Jingyuan lying on the hospital bed through the transparent glass. He had an oxygen mask on and was dressed in a patient's clothes. His wrinkled features were pale and he appeared especially thin. It seemed as though he would cease breathing anytime.
At the thought of how lonely Lee Jingyuan could be, she found that he was truly quite pitiful.
Even his only granddaugher had attempted to murder him. Her actions could only be described as inhumane.
Somi stood several metres away from Jennie. The anxiety in her expression was obvious. "Uu... I wonder when my grandfather will wake up. I hope he does so soon."
Her words made her appear to be an extremely filial granddaughter.
Jennie pursed her lips together and did not respond.
Kai, who had also stayed behind, spoke comfortingly. "Sister, don't worry. Director Lee will be fine."
"En." Somi nodded pitifully. Internally, however, she dearly wished that Lee Jingyuan would quickly die. Immediately!
Kai's seemingly refined gaze shifted onto Jennie. His expression was filled with heartache. "Jennie, it's already midnight. You must be tired. I will guard outside Director Lee's room. Go ahead and get some sleep."

For some reason, she struggled to stop worrying for Lee Jingyan. It wasn't just because she was grateful for the Lee Group's stocks which he had given her.
She felt an unexplainable hint of heartache for him.
It was as though Lee Jingyuan was her relative. She felt anxious and flustered as if she was on the verge of losing a family member.
"In that case, I'll accompany you." Kai smiled warmly and approached her.
Jennie immediately shouted to stop him. "Maintain a distance of five steps away from me."
"Why?" Kai was confused.
"Because your appearance is repulsive."
"..."
Kai could always rely on his face to coax a woman into giving him everything. When it came to Jennie, however, he keenly understood that Jennie's heart had changed and she no longer loved him!
He was angered, upset and even felt the urge to ruin her.
Unfortunately, he did not have that ability right now.

He glanced at Somi, who was seated on the bench.
Considering his sister's abilities, he was afraid Jennie would soon die without even realising it!
