On the other end of the call, when Sehun learned that his father had woken up, he became extremely agitated.
Jennie ended the call and said, "Dad, Brother says he is on the way to the hospital right now. You'll get to see him soon."
Dong Lee had just gained consciousness and he struggled to recall his memories. All of a sudden, he remembered something. He hurriedly held onto Jennie's hands. "My daughter, there's something wrong with your mother. She isn't your mom! Her sister, Fang Liyin, is impersonating her!"
"Dad, I already know about this matter." She nodded.
Her father spoke slowly and with some difficulty.
She realised that her father had suffered a stroke and fallen into a coma because Kim Liyin added a drug into his food that would worsen his illness.
Five years ago, her father suspected that something was amiss with Kim Liyin. Thus, he followed her secretly to a rented apartment and caught her in an affair with another man. He had become extremely angry and suffered a stroke. Due to the drug he had been fed, his condition immediately worsened and he fell into a coma.
Right before he completely lost consciousness, he had heard that adulterer addressing Kim Lilan as Kim Liyin.
It was only then that he became certain that his sister-in-law was actually pretending to be his wife.
Jennie felt that, rather than having Lisa explain everything that happened in their family, it would be better to do so herself.
Thus, she detailed everything that Kim Liyin, Yang Xueyao and Krystal had done in the past few years.
She also informed him that Kim Liyin had already been shot to death, while Yang Xueyao and Krystal were both sentenced to life imprisonment.
She also explained Sehun's matters to him.
The only thing she did not bring up was the news of her mother's death.
When Dong Lee heard this, he fell silent for a long time.
Even Lee Jingyuan, who was seated by the side, could not resist cursing Liyin and her family.
" Liyin and her family committed too many evil acts. They deserve the punishment." Dong Lee replied seriously.
His expression was filled with guilt as he took his daughter in. "Jenjen, this is all my fault. I wasn't able to help you after I fell unconscious and even burdened you. You've suffered."
"Dad, don't say that." Jennie shook her head. "I was the one who didn't take good care of you."
"Alright." Dong Lee did not miss the information she had left out. "What about your mother... where is she now"?
"She..." Jennie could not tell him that her mother was already dead, and that her body had been buried in the storeroom in the Kim family home for more than seven years.
She did not wish to agitate her father and could only tell him a kind lie. "We've lost contact with her. When you've recovered, won't you personally go look for her?"
"Yes, of course." Dong Lee appeared worried but resolved. "I need to recover quickly so I can go look for her."
Jennie fed him some lightly seasoned porridge. As he had just awoken, it wasn't suitable for him to have anything oily.
After Sehun arrived at the hospital, another emotional reunion occured.
Sehun was overjoyed that his adopted father had gained consciousness, while Dong Lee's heart ached for the jail term his adopted son had suffered.
He was also especially happy that his adopted son was already married.
Afterwards, Elder Chongshan, Manoban Hong and Ye Yunzhi also visited Dong Lee at the hospital.
The three of them were especially surprised that Dong Lee was actually the son who had been chased out of the Lee Group years ago.
Originally, Jennie's background had been a little poorer than Lisa's.
However, now, she was not only the Qiao Yang Group's Director but also the Lee Group's Director's only granddaughter. Her status was beyond valuable and in terms of family background, she was definitely compatible with Lisa.
