Lotus lab wasn't originally planned to be a lab. The place was missing a giant tree, and Builder, who lived nearby decided to solve the problem. So, the tree isn't real! Although the meteorite that landed a couple months ago is very real and needs to be studied.

The boss of the lab is a chicken, whose name is Stephen Brick. They kind of got here by accident, but it doesn't have anything to do with his brilliant mind. Ever since they got in the lab, she was trying to solve the mystery of the world creation, and when the meteorite landed, all of the scientists focused on it. The thing itself looks like a geode. Inside of it the crew discovered an egg. Who knows what's going to hatch?

The lab is divided by floors. There's the first floor with chemistry and the theory center, the second with meteorite and geode studies, the third with a lounge zone, and the fourth with some accommodation rooms and offices, including Dr. Brick's. There's also the zero floor with grass, just for rest. Workers don't leave the lab.

Everyone in the lab is pretty friendly. Even Stephen likes to have fun sometimes, regardless of their hard-working attitude.

Probably the most lovable worker here is a horse named Grace. She's supposed to be the manager of this place, but no one has ever done anything even slightly related to that kind of things. Besides, nobody even needs it here. Everyone still loves Grace. She gives the lab positive energy. If you ever see Grace having a bad day, you know some of her colleagues are having a bad day as well.

A month ago Stephen, while almost having a mental breakdown because of the meteorite, asked one of her old friends to join the crew. Their name was jeb_. They didn't just show up in an hour after the letter was sent, they brought all of their crew with them. They were six sheep, all colors of the rainbow, except blue. No one's ever asked about it.

Just like that, The Rainbow Family (nobody knew if they were actually related) was given a whole floor for their studies. They've brought a piece of the meteor there and started working. They recognized and defined most of the minerals, but there are still some unknown ones. That's what they're doing right now – trying to figure out what they're looking at. Meanwhile, two bears on the floor below are trying to figure out where this thing came from. Dr. Michael Fluff is the main theorist in the lab (after Stephen, of course). Michael also studies all kinds of teleportation. His friend, Ben Cloud is a chemist. On good days, the bears work together.

The youngest member of the crew (14 years old) was a sheep named Cotton. It's a miracle he stayed alive – Builder saved him and brought to the lab. But he was still left an orphan, so the one who's been taking care of him all this time is Dr. Chuckle – a chicken, one of the scientists. He shares a room with Cotton, who's the happiest boy. He's trying to learn everything at once, communicating with almost everyone in the lab. Sometimes they get tired of him, but he's still very nice.

So, it was the day when Cotton decided to visit Dr. Georgia Carrotine, the lab's gardener. She dated Dr. Noah Potatous, who also was a gardener, but like flowers more than vegetables. Their office smelled like fresh dirt and roses, which is weird, because Noah only had one rose. They've always said "it's just really healthy and strong". Regardless, the room was really nice.

Cotton greeted Georgia. She asked how he was doing, he replied with "Oh, I'm extremely bored today". Georgia suggested him to help her with crops, but Cotton didn't feel like it.

It's not like he wanted something to change, but everything seemed so... "the same"? And he was embarrassed to tell anybody, he was sure everyone would just remind him that Dr. Chuckle and Dr. Brick have been here for a longer time than him and it's quite inappropriate to complain.
