"alright class, I guess we can have another free day today." my teacher said.

well i guess it's just another day in book world. yes I'm in love with reading. most kids at my school call me a 'nerd' but I don't really consider myself one. all I do is read, homework, watch Netflix, and hangout with my friends. I only really have 2 best friends, Dakota and Cody.

"sooooo Ari you better not be reading during the free period AGAIN." Dakota says scooting her desk over closer to mine. Dakota and Cody are the only ones allowed to call me Ari. not sure why but I just want to be called Aria by everyone else.

"yeah, let's go mingle with that group of cute guys over there!" Cody said. as you can tell, my best friend Cody is gay but Dakota and I could never live without him. he's like one of the girls, he's interested in boys and clothes and shopping so he's great to have around.

"Cody we really really need to find you a man." he looked over at me with a 'duh' look after I said that.

"come on Ari! let's go talk to them!" she squealed pointing over to the table of guys. she happened to want to go over and talk to the jocks or as I call them, the assholes. every single one of those guys are players and I hate their guts.

I've never had a real relationship with a guy. I'm still a virgin, Dakota says it's because I'm prude and I don't put myself out there so guys can see how beautiful I really am. I guess you can say I'm beautiful but I don't dress like it. I love to be comfortable in athletic shorts, and t-shirts not even caring what people think. my friends try to girl me up but I hate when they do it. I never go to parties, basically because I'm never invited, and I don't even speak to guys except for Cody. I'm really shy around lots of people and I guess my life is just really sad.

"fine Dakota, but I am not talking."

"Ari honey you need to talk, you can't just stand there behind me looking like a weirdo!"

"well I am a weirdo according to every one of those guys at that table." it's true. the popular guys make fun of me, call me names, throw stuff at me, anything they can just to bully me.

"let's go." she said taking my arm as she pulled me over to the table all the 'bad boys' were at.

"sup Dakota. and Aria is it?" said one of the boys, Kian to be exact.

"Hi Kian and yes this is Aria, why don't you guys talk for a little while."

"wait no Dak-"

"sorry she's a goner." Kian said.

Kian has huge dark brown eyes and brown hair but he dyes it every other week. he's really tall. he's about 5'11, way taller then me considering I'm only 5'3 and I have to admit, he's pretty hot.

"ughhh."

"why the sigh? your literally talking to the coolest guy ever!"

he's right, he actually is THE coolest guy ever. but that doesn't help me considering I'm the NON coolest girl ever.

"sorry hi uhm I'm Aria..?" I put out my hand waiting for him to shake it but he surprisingly just laughed and gave me a high five.

"really Aria, I know who you are. we've gone to school together since kindergarten."

"well it seemed like you didn't know who I was when you said sup to Dakota and oh Aria is it to me." why is he even talking to me? "isn't talking to me going to lower your popularity status."

"just because your a nerd doesn't mean I can't talk to you. your cool Ari."

that wasn't intended to be out loud and he called me Ari I'm gonna punch him in th- wait, I'm cool? Kian Lawley just said I was cool.

"oh uhm thanks.."

"yeah we should chill sometime."

what. did he just ask me to 'chill'

"yeah definitely.."

*bell rings*

"well bye Ari."

"bye Kian."
